This charming hotel is situated in an peaceful district of the town, close to the popular shopping arcades and the harbour district. The royal opera house is located close by. Countless pubs, restaurants and nightclubs are just 100 metres away.The hotel was built in 1867 and completely renovated in 1997. It offers a total of 94 guestrooms spread over 5 floors, of which 18 are single rooms and 76 are doubles. Various facilities are available to guests including an elegant foyer with 24-hour reception desk and a safe. There is also a cosy bar as well as an excellent restaurant.In-house Internet access and a laundry service are also available.The stylish rooms come with an en suite bathroom and a lounge area. All rooms are also fully-equipped as standard.There is a fine buffet available at breakfast and in the evenings.

4.5 star ratingThe hotel may not be modern but it has character and charm. The room we had (superior) was small but adequate. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfy, there were coffee making facilities in the room, free wi-fi - what more do you need on a city break. The staff were pleasant, anything you need you only had to ask. There was a good variety on the breakfast buffet - cereals, yoghurt, fruit, meats, cheeses, salad, breads and croissants, and of course Danish pastries - and all of good quality. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage on the day of departure and we came to collect it just before we needed to leave for the airport. All in all, I thought the hotel was lovely and really enjoyed our stay here.Jasi101 June 2013
