4.5 star ratingGreat location in the centre, in a relatively quiet side street (just 2 minutes from La Rambla / Placa de Catalunya). Room was comfortable and clean. Delicious bakery just opposite the hotel. Our room was rather dark, with windows into a well and hoistway. Poor sound insulation of the door, noise could be heard from the corridor.Richard09 December 2009

3.5 star ratingBig Room with Balkoon, nice. Standard quite okey. Receptionpeople were kindly (Manuel and the others). The hotel site, very near Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla and Barriq Gotic was exakt what we like, my wife and me.The last night we saw that our window (room 502) couldn´t be closed and there were a possiblity through another balkoon get into our room. Since I had all my luggage stolen on the Aereobus between El Prat and Plaza Catalunya and then was robbed by a pocketthief on the Metro after Barca fight at Camp Nuo,I really don´t like more possibilities for thiefs.... I hope this window will be fixed fast, the reception was told by us. The staff in the breakfast room seems that they really was borrowed. Rolf07 November 2012
5.0 star ratingclassic old hotel but modern in terms of facilities, clean and comfortable, friendly staff and located in a most convenient central area .....value for money... should also include beverages like tea and coffee in the room with kettle to boil water like in the UK and Ireland.... 2.5 star ratingFantastic location, can walk everywhere from here so perfect base. Hotel itself smelled lovely and was clean and typical blend of dark wood and marble floors. Quaint and very typical for a three star hotel, clean and adequate. Sadly, we had a miserable gloomy room with absolutely awful view of three brick walls. there was no proper daylight so room stayed dark and you'd need the light on even in the day (room 368 so avoid if poss). Disappointing but didn't let it upset us too much and just used it as a base to sleep and shower as you definitely wouldn't want to spend much time in it. We were breakfast only and the hot food was lukewarm at best and not very nice, same every day. To be honest, for what we paid we didn't bother and just had a hot drink and a slice of toast but not worth paying for. There's lots of nice cafes and places to eat on doorstep. Lastly, was quite noisy, could hear every time next door used loo or shower and same for room above. Anonymous 26 June 2017
