The hotel is located within the historic city walls, which date back to the 17th century. It occupies an enviable central location with a number of shops, bars, theatres and nightlife to be found close by. This stylish and contemporary city hotel, despite having only opened in May 2002, has won a number of awards including an AA Rosette and RAC dining award. It comprises a total of 93 rooms on 4 floors and includes an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, lift access, air conditioning, a bar, a café, a pub, a restaurant, conference facilities and car parking. A laundry and dry cleaning service, a baby-sitting service, access to business services, luggage storage, a currency exchange facility are all readily available. The bedrooms are well-appointed and warmly decorated, each with an en suite bathroom. They all have a telephone, TV and Internet access.

2.0 star ratingI received a very good rate for what I thought was a 4 star standard hotel. It is centrally located.Some of the worst customer service I have ever received from the front desk staff. 2.5 star ratingQuick check in. Food was good. Room was not very nice and was a bit musty. I have also been charged twice for the room. When i called to get this seen to, i was told I would get a call back -which I did - but was just told I would get another call back. Im still waitin for the call. So I called back and a man was quite short and a bit rude and said it wasnt his problem. He didnt take any details and said its up to accounts. I may be charged by my credit card company for this and I am not very happy.AKE07 July 2012
