4.5 star ratingCleanliness and size of my room were very good especially for the quality that came with itOnly on one evening was I greeted while I came in, not a huge thing but just something to note. 17 March 2012
3.5 star ratingwhen we arrived they had double booked our room so we were help up quite a bit.24 April 2012
4.0 star ratingThe staff is very friendly, all amenities present in the room, nice swimming pool. The bed is too small for 2 people. We missed a breakfast buffet. Much noise from outside.Ellen04 May 2012
4.0 star ratingVery friendly and helpful staffSome traffic noise but kind of inevitable given location. Watch out for on-street parking as I got a ticket; Croydon is the only place I know that charges for evening parking up to midnight!22 November 2012
2.5 star ratingThe rooms were very small and didn't reflect the advertisement on the website. The outside if the building was very old, and of rundown appearance, not a good first impression! Overnight27 November 2012
3.0 star ratingCheap Good location for us Large bathroom Plenty of tea coffee Pool only available to children at weekends 9.30 to 11.30. No mention of this when booking or that the pool woukd be closed Easter Sunday and Monday. Receptionist dour on check in. Room shabby, sink cracked, broken tiles in bathroom, mildew in bathroom. Toilet stained badly and took ages for cistern to refill. Bath plug not attached to chain so we had to borrow pliers to get it out of the bath, at least the receptionist who brought those was familiar with the concept of smiling. £50 deposit demanded on arrival, no mention this would be requested. Bar was closed easter sunday and vending machine empty so nowhere to get any cold drinks other than sainsburys local.Punk197606 April 2013
1.0 star ratingNone Rude receptionist. Rooms are very small. Double beds are really a single bed and do not fit two people. Hotelopia had not made booking with the hotel, so they did not have not of it when we arrivedMitch15 April 2013
5.0 star ratingThe room was cold. Quilt not warm enough for weather.17 April 2013

4.5 star ratingAs soon as myself and my husband walked into The Lansdowne Hotel with our son straight away at the reception area we were greeted by two smiley Reception Assistants ready to help and check us in. I was under the impression that we was able to use the pool with our child during the week - but when we was told when we arrived that it was not within their hotel policy and that children are only allowed in the pool on weekends, they were very apologetic and at reception desk allowed us to use the telephone to call Hotelopia for help to check for possible amendments at Customer Service. We however did not change our booking and ended up having a very pleasurable overnight stay. A well equipped all-rounded hotel and would stay again. There are no negative comments to make on this hotel.Mrs Cee17 April 2013
4.5 star ratingI had a double superior room. It was clean, tidy and spacious. Lovely welcoming staff. No parking facility. They have a car park u can use not far from the hotel for £10 a day. The hotel offer 25% off, but when they did for us and we went to machine it hadn't taken the discount off. We could not b bothered to walk back for £2.50! Check opening times of gym and pool facility. We didn't and arrived 6pm and it was closed!!R R02 May 2013
3.0 star ratingThe approach road to the hotel was not great. The building is grim and the hotel was very basic. Although the reception staff were extremely helpful, polite and highly professional. However, the receptionist on the lesiure facilities desk couldnt be bothered, was unwelcoming, unfriendly and rather loud. The pool was nice and warm, the hot tub was nice and bubbly and the steam and dry saunas lived up to expectations. The changing rooms were dated. 29 April 2013
3.5 star ratingLocation. The windows don't open fully and there is no air conditioning...so it was very hot and stuffy despite having the fan on! I was the first hotel I have stayed in that doesn't have air conditioning....a big surprise ,this is the 21st century!!The lift was out of order which was also very inconvenient!ozzie23 July 2013
4.0 star ratingthe staff were excellent. the room was on the whole clean and well-appointed. we were brought a fan as soon as we requested one (the room was very hot but we were visiting during a heatwave!). room was spacious (we payed a little extra for the executive room which in my opinion is worth doing) and the bathroom was also large with a good powerful shower. the hotel is also in a good central location with very easy access to transport. overall we had a comfortable and happy stay :)there was a problem with the flush in the toilet, and a couple of grimy spots in the shower door seal could use some attention. we used the pool in the gym next door and although we appreciate it's out with the hotel's control, we found the standards of cleanliness and repair there to be a little lacking. the hotel lift was out of order for the duration of our stay. the location can be a little noisy however it's probably fine with the windows closed (due to the hot weather we had the windows open all the time).Oscar16 July 2013
4.5 star ratingGood location close to the train station Clean and tidy Fan in the room to help with the temperature iPhone charger alarm clock Free good quality wifiLift was out of order and has been for a couple of months Bath could do with being replaced. There were some marks on the bottom of it. Northern Traveller27 July 2013
5.0 star ratingNice experience to be there. After a hard day of shopping was really nice to get in the sauna and the jacuzzi. About staff professionalism we were very happy and the value for money was ok. To get there from London Victoria by train, takes about 10min to East Croydon. From East Croydon station 5min walking to the hotel. Easy. Other side of the road is a shopping center.Milli05 November 2013
4.0 star ratingThe hotel is within a 5 minute (if that) walk of the station. It's off the main road so everythig is close by but it's quiet. The staff (on the day shift anyway) were very helpful and polite. They made us aware of all the facilities available and made check in and check out fast and hassle free. The room was small but very cosy. Perfect size for a couple or friends staying for a short break. There's hangers with the wardrobe, a kettle, a tv that actually works how it's supposed to, shower gel. even a dock station so everything you need. I always stay there and I'm always happy with my choice.although reading some reviews on this hotel and being surprised that some people were disappointed with the customer service, I have never really had any problems however on my last visit it was finally brought to light why people felt this . The staff that served me during check in and check out were extremely polite however after a night out to a restaurant. me and my friend returned to the hotel and as we walked through the lobby the people at reception stopped us and questioned our presence by asking us hat we're doing at the hotel and if we have a room. They even had the cheek to ask us which room we are staying in and after that they just went hm alright. not even an apology or a polite approach. It was as though they were trying to imply that just because we're young we couldn't afford it... I found it extremely rude and offensive. But it was only 2 members of the staff. The rest were extremely polite. Doubt couples would have any problems just youngsters, be prepared to get interrogated aha. 20 November 2013
4.0 star rating- Cleanliness - Budget Friendly - Good location - Very good facilities- I needed orientation for the bus station to catch the bus for the airport and only one of the staff members helped me being oriented and be at the airport on time. - There should be some shower gel, cotton buds, shower caps and things like this provided for the guest in their rooms. 2.5 star ratingThe staff at the front desk were very friendly .The room was cold with an electric plug in heater provided for the bathroom!!! The bed-linen was old and worn, the valance sheet on one of the beds was dirty. very strong smell of dampness in the corridors No food available when requested in the evening and morning of a two day stay however staff did organize an take away .and recommend a good place to eat breakfast odd that you could not get even a sandwich in the hotel.Needs a complete make over,13 January 2014

Internett funket greitt. Hyggelig betjening. Ble godt motatt.Anonym 20 May 2014
