5.0 star ratingA lovely room, and breakfast, and excellent value for money!Portsmouth15 March 2011
1.0 star ratingThe staff at the hotel refused to allow me to stay because they were over booked even although I had booked 2 rooms and had reservations confirmed directly with the hotel reservations team (confirmed by email). My colleague and myself spent the rest of the evening and night walking the streets of Croydon looking for alternative accommodation. Disgraceful attitude, appaling customer service. 16 July 2011
1.0 star ratingOn trying to check in to this hotel, I was told my prepaid, confirmed booking, made a month in advance had been cancelled by the hotel two days earlier. No alternative accomodation was offered by the hotel. 2 other travellers were put in the same position as myself on the same night. All were left scrambling to find a hotel room in London at the last minute, which is very difficult at the best of times. My advice would be to avoid as you can't be sure that this hotel will not bump you at the last minute.m1l3yd17 July 2011
5.0 star ratingGood Quality hotel. Staff extremely helpful, rooms kept very clean, restaurant excellent service and value for their gourmet dinners.MAJP26 September 2011
4.5 star ratingwhat you would expect from a 4* hotelissue at check in could have been handled a lot better and left us frustrated bad start wifi was very poor 30 October 2011
4.0 star ratingVery close to train station. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. We waited a long time for our twin room to be ready, despite being there after checking in time. visitor18 October 2011
4.0 star ratingIt's a relaxed, professional hotel that can be very good value for money. I stay there whenever I can. Some rooms are a bit tired round the edges but overall fine.17 October 2011
4.5 star ratingAnother enjoyable stay at the hotel, with very helpful staff, both at the reception and in the dining area. The rooms were clean, although we could discern no appreciable difference between a standard room and a deluxe, apart from the free wifi. But still a very good quality hotel in the centre of Croydon.More accessible power point(s). The only power point we had access to was behind the floor unit which meant we had to pull it out to gain access. I appreciate that the hotel has to pay the bill, but it makes it difficult to charge your phone.Geoff and Alison22 November 2011
4.5 star ratingThe Receptionists at Croydon Park Hotel gave us a professional yet friendly welcome and completed the formalities very quickly. We were given interconnecting bedrooms as we were travelling as a family. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom was a little dated but was also spacious and very clean. There was plenty of hot water with a good flow at the shower. Pool and leisure facilities are available to hotel guests. The only meal taken was breakfast. There was a large choice at the buffet and the platters were constantly topped up. The décor and ambiance of the restaurant was also very good and with first class service. The Hotel was only a 5-10 minute walk to East Croydon Station and only 16-18mins to Victoria (from memory - using an Oyster card the journey was £4:20 and £2:70 peak and off-peak resp.) Acid test: Yes we would stay at the hotel again when next visiting London. Nothing of any great consequence. The failed spotlight over the picture in our room was not the end of the world and it did not spoil our stay!!!!Elland People31 October 2011

4.0 star ratingGreat breakfast. Some rooms can be a little worn around the edges but nothing major.21 December 2011
3.5 star ratingRoom was clean and tidy and the breakfast as always was very goodUpon entry the greeting from the check in staff was not welcoming at all very abrupt and rude even when i paid for the upgrade. In addition to that the room was cold upon entry which i wouldnt expect especially with the weather we have been having. I have come here many times and the check in staff depend upond what mood they are in and in that industry I dont think that is right.19 December 2011
3.5 star ratingPleasant hotel, convenientVery disappointed that the hotel has started to charge a 5GBP parking fee...even for guests!! Free onsite parking was one of the main reasons I previously had selected this hotel. On the day of check out, the foyer floor was wet and as a consequence I slipped right in the middle and fell flat on the floor...the other guests were more concern about my health and safety...not one member of staff came to see if I was ok or investigate the reason for my fall!! Lucky for the hotel, that there were no broken bones!!!!15 February 2012
4.5 star ratingNice breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Secure carpark. Convenient location next to East Croydon station. Rooms very clean.Carparking is charged extra but reasonable rate. Wifi is charged extra.peersaab10 March 2012
4.0 star ratingLike many other visitors, the hotel’s proximity to East Croydon Station (Victoria is just a quarter of an hour away) was a definite draw. And unlike, say, Jurys Inn Hotel - adjacent to the underpass - where we stayed last December, there was noticeably less noise from emergency vehicle sirens and general traffic noise. We had an executive room which is on 5th (top) floor for three nights and were impressed by the comfortable king size bed and the good size of the room. Everything was reasonably clean but at least once the floor did not get vacuumed. Don’t know how the room compares to a standard unit. Were impressed by the speed of the lifts with rarely a delay. Sometimes there were not enough staff on reception to deal with waiting guests and believe more should be drafted in when a coach full of visitors is anticipated. Whilst at £5 per day, on site parking represents reasonable value, there was concern about the unpublicised regulations e.g. only 10 minutes after ticket validation is permitted until vehicle departure. Several cars were seen to be clamped for infringements during the period of our brief stay and the hotel’s deliberate policy of encouraging non-resident visitors to use the underground facility could well mean no space being available for guests. The buffet breakfasts generally provided a good choice of food but, with more than an hour to go before the end of the service, to run out of orange juice is not good but to obviously dilute the grapefruit juice to compensate is even worse. Similarly to not have white bread available to make toast is a little remiss when the “walk-up rate” for the meal is a hefty £14 p.p. 05 June 2012
2.5 star ratingThe room itself was quite nice and comfortableWhen I went to check in - they did not have my details or room allocated. Apparently there reservations are closed Saturdays/Sundays! After waiting for 30 mins they finally arranged a room for me - to be fair they upgraded my room (although I suspect they had no other rooms available). I was then asked to pay for parking even though it says free parking on the site I booked the hotel. Once settled in my room the fire alarm went off and there was no-one available to say why or what to do - this happened on 2 occassions. When I went to check oout they asked me to pay for the room and parking - I informed them I had paid by paypal via the booking site but they insisted that I should pay as that was just to confirm booking. I explained again and luckily another member of staff said I had paid and they charged me for the parking only. I left rather bemused and shocked at the level of service. Fatboy26 June 2012
5.0 star ratingHelpful reception staff; good breakfast arrangements; room of good size and very well equiped.Walls between second floor rooms seem markedly thinner than those previously experienced on the fifth floor so that conversation and even snoring were audible throughout the night. Regulations regarding residents car parking could be more clearly stated e.g. is there a 10 minute period after ticket authentication during which one must leave the premises? It would also have been good to get a printed invoice which included additional charges incurred. Brecon BeaconsQDO05 November 2012
4.5 star ratingUpgraded to an executive room as we had been sent to another hotel last year due to overbooking. Treated very well this year. Some of the buffet food at breakfast was slightly cold. Had to wait for more food to come out as it took a while for food to be replenished.chrissie26 March 2013

4.0 star ratingGood location, very friendly and informed staff at reception disk.Room a bit cold.HS10 April 2013
3.0 star ratingI feel that the reception area being re-decorated during my stay should have been mentioned during the booking process. I would have booked a different hotel. There was dust,a very strong chemical smell, and it was thoroughly unpleasant. It was my second stay at the hotel. The first time the room was freezing cold and did not get warm, they eventually changed my room after repeated calls and visits to the reception.11 May 2013
4.0 star ratingThe hotel was good value for money having been able to source a deal online. The restaurants on site add to the convenience, as well as the car park, which is reasonably priced. The room was reasonable also.I booked a executive room and was disappointed to notice that I had two single beds joined together. This made it a bit more awkward when sharing with my partner. The room had some general wear and tear too. Rust around door knobs, faded/dirty paint in areas. The hotel charge was also double that which I paid in the end having sourced a deal.AS x21 May 2013

4.0 star ratingGood location with it being only a couple of minutes walk from East Croydon station Disappointed that there was no room safe considering it is a four star hotel. Also the tv channels would benefit from having Sky Sports news as a minimum.03 July 2013

5.0 star ratingClean friendly and every thing worked in the room. After staying in a different hotel on the Saturday night I wish id booked this place for longer as it was only twenty pounds more for so much . The rating is what it is as so many other hotels have the ratings but don't deserve them unlike this place. Fantastic would highly recommend it to anyone . I have a daughter who is a fussy eater but even she left with a full belly after breakfast! satisfactory guarantee 08 December 2014

4.0 star ratingVery friendly staff, this hotel is well situated, easy access to transport and shopping area. The hotel needs serious upgrading.Anonymous 06 September 2016
2.0 star ratingUnfortunately the only positive that I could give this hotel is the entrance, It was immaculate.i would never rate this hotel as 4star. The room was very basic. Only one double plug in the room, which was not working very well. So to keep the tv on whilst trying to dry hair or use straighteners and keep the light on near the mirror was impossible. The pool area was quite dirty looking. Changing rooms were fillthy and in need of a clean.kullykaur14 December 2016
5.0 star ratingI booked via Trivago and Hotelopia. For the prices I paid, this is exceptional quality. I had to keep rebooking to extend my stay, as I was expecting to be there for only for three or four days, which turned into ten days. The staff could not have been more helpful. I would particularly like to commend and thank "Cynthia" on reception who went above and beyond the call of duty (given my experiences in other hotels costing far more!) Due to the heating going off in my room, I was moved [complementary upgraded] to another room for two nights. Cynthia made sure that I could go back to my original room once the heating was fixed. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff I encountered, all really helpful and friendly but professional. Loved the heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi! Obviously I appreciate that the hotel is not responsible for the noise of the howling winds that went on through the night, for three nights at least, during my stay! However, I think maybe that the double glazing could be checked in some of the rooms to ensure a good silent night's sleep! I can find nothing else to complain about. A fab hotel staffed by fab people.Helga03 March 2016
4.5 star ratingLocation to rail station and trams, just a minute or 2 walk but well away from the noise in quiter part of town. Always friendly check in/out, nice bar area serving snacksHard to check in early even when not full, although Clarion don't recognise my loyalty card even after 10 or more stays, the fact that even when stayed many times before they still ask for a hotel card to be yet again completed, until you say 'really, again', then the astute receptionists you are not overly impressed Anonymous 27 March 2016
5.0 star ratingGreat stay, got an upgraded room to Executive floor....really comfy beds and very quiet. The homeless chaps over the road sleeping rough bring the experience down, though not the fault of hotelAnonymous 22 February 2016
