4.5 star ratingoverall our stay here was pleasant.the water pressure of a shower is weak. there is no fridge in a room. the room assigned to us has a closed door to a neighboring room, as it is designed for the disables. we often heard some noise from the neighboring room during the night. however, those are relatively minor points to us. stay at this hotel could be even better if they can fix the problems i mentioned above.23 September 2009
4.5 star ratingmy room was nice as it was a window room at the front of the hotel, Had to move room as air con not working room was freezing, i member of staff told me to wait and the room will warm off, but it didnt and i had to contact reception after 2 hours of being frozen,09 December 2009

Have stayed in some 4 star hotels that are not as good as this 3 star. restaurant is like a school canteen and the breakfast was cold and plasticy. £8.50 is not reasonable value, in fact it is paying far more for breakfast then what you actually get. simonought07 February 2011
4.0 star ratingHotel is convieniantly located to the main train station. Reception area very smartly decorated. Rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds and extra blankets and pillows available. Flat screen tv was a real bonus and enjoyed by the children. Bathroom was very clean.Unfortunately the welcome was almost as dire as the good bye. On arrival the male receptionist was extremely snooty and was only interested in trying to get me to purchase extra services. Unfortunately, checking out was just as awful,, again a male receptionist who didn't even ask if we had had a nice stay.sam28 March 2011

4.5 star ratingExcellent value,very friendly helpful staff,room comfy and very clean.Breakfast had great choice and again great value.Location not so good for people with mobility problems as unable to drop off or pick up at hotel door due to road which was a taxi/bus lane only going straight past the front of hotel. NCP car park across the road which wasn't far but again not good for those who are less mobile. Geordie16 April 2013
2.5 star ratingwe booked a triple room thinking we would get 3 individual beds but on arrival the receptionist said something to her colleague about there being 3 of us, which he replied to put them in a room with a double and a single bed. which is what we got. from the room we phoned reception and mentioned we wanted 3 individual beds, we were told that we had got what we had booked but they would provide a camp bed30 April 2013

4.0 star ratingFirendly staff and polite at all times, clean roomOn arrival took some time to find my booking on the system , also i changed my mind about the breakfast and requested this at the reception but went down in the morning i found out that that this should have been paid for and given a voucher. and was told i was going to have to pay £10 for breakfast which i found expensive to say the least as my name wasnt down on the list. sam02 July 2013
