4.0 star ratingThe hotel is ideally located for the shops and also within walking distance of the Barbican and the lovely restaurants in that area. The hotel has a nice bar and provides a good breakfast. We were in Room 625 which is an excellent room - very roomy with comfortable beds and quiet. The underground car park which I know is not totally for the hotel's use, has a very complicated payment system. Clients leaving their car there need to get this right as it was being regularly patrolled on the morning we were there. Also the access to the car park from the hotel lobby is a bit hit and miss. 14 September 2011

4.0 star ratingconsidering it was on a main road, the noise levels in room were brilliant. bathroom was not looking as smart and clean as i would have expected. staff were professional but not particularly friendly or informativejust jen21 April 2012
3.0 star ratingThe hotel was very clean. I was allocatd a quiet room. The dinner and the breakfast was very poor. The cutlery which was available at breakfast was dirty.22 October 2012
2.5 star ratingcomfy bedsparse room, just the essentials. reception couldn't find my booking then sent me to a very high room with a broken window that was wide open - quite scary! had to ask to move and felt told off, as if I should have known that room was out of order when given the key!02 November 2012
4.0 star ratingGreat city location idela for shopping, Pavillions Car park is £6 for an overnight stay (Buy from hotel not car park staff) The rooms could do with updating but we didn't mind as long as they were clean, which they were.J.G18 December 2012
4.5 star ratingVery friendly and helpful staff. The offer we got was fantastic value for money £39 for both of us for 1 night.Breakfast buffet at £10 per head is expensive especially as a vegetarian who only ate toast and cereal.13 March 2013

1.5 star ratingThe bed linen was dirty. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. The receptionist tried to charge for breakfast that was pre-paid. The restaurant staff then tried to charge for breakfast. On check out they tried to charge for breakfast again. This said breakfast was old and dried up.21 April 2013
4.5 star ratingWe knew the hotel as previously lived in the area before moving back to Cornwall. ~Also visiting in Feb we stayed at the Jury Inn. Extremely good value for money, staff helpful and one receptionist [male] remembered my husband when checking in from our visit in Feb. We always look on-line for deals , hence why we booked through yourselves on this occasion as the cheapest quote and we knew the hotel anyway. No parking. However for £10 can stay 24 hours in a underground public car park alongside hotel... as long as there is space.Geraldo22 April 2013
4.5 star ratingGreat location by Charles Cross in central Plymouth. Easy parking in the Staples car park next door. Cost was £6 from 5pm to 11am in a secured garage, Parking voucher obtained from reception. Good sized quiet room. Very clean. Spotless bathroom with lovely smelling bodywash/shampoo. Buffet style breakfast was good, everything was fresh and replaced quickly if demand required.Slow check-in.Kat3507 April 2013
4.5 star ratingExcellent value for the money we paid. Breakfast was included in our price but it cost 10 pounds extra per person if not for the buffet breakfast. I think this seemed a bit expensive. 16 April 2013
2.5 star ratingI left my mobile phone charger in the room upon departure. Upon realising this I called the hotel, and whilst the house-keeping department were very good at helping me, I'm sad to say that a cleaner has taken my charger. This is really frustrating and I feel let down by this. I'd be interested to know how much lost property is handed in each month at this hotel14 May 2013
unfortunately my daughter booked the hotel online and booked the wrong date. Although she put in the correct date she had selected the cheapest rate so the site immediately changed the date without her realising this. When we realized the error my daughter phoned the hotel but they said the booking had not gone through so we would not be charged. We were told that we could not cancel or change the date. To cut a long story short we were charged for the room and did not end up staying there. Very dissapointed.22 May 2013

3.0 star ratingThe staff in the restaurant was extremely friendly and accomodating. At 3am we were woken up by people talking loadly and banging. At 3:30am I called reception and asked them to shut the noise down. The next morning when I asked whether I enjoyed my stay, I explained what had happened and asked for compensation. I was told that the hotel is not responsible and would not provide any compensation. The don't care attitude was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel, it is overprised and the carpets in the hall and rooms are very dirty.Beaszee26 June 2013

4.5 star ratingStayed at this hotel several times and we have always found it to be a good experience. Staff are always available without being intrusive, it offers all that you could want for a short stay and is very convenient for the city centre. Will use again in the future. All areas including the dining room were very clean and the room was well prepared.NoneThe growler 25 June 2013
4.5 star ratingused Jury's Inn before as the location is central to the city, staff professional and importantly treat one as a valued customer. All facilities of of a high standard.!! A fire alarm this visit at 6.35 a.m.!! Toaster in the kitchen producing extra dark style toast!! Wide awake and rush to find clothes.... one wants to look stylish even in an emergency!! No going back to sleep at that hour........ hardly a negative comment just another colourful tale of hotel life.14 July 2013

4.0 star ratingIdeal location for a short stay in Plymouth.Lack of parking, perhaps attempts to do a deal with Staples/Gala should be pursued.01 August 2013
4.0 star ratingGood value and some parking available close by. We had a triple family rooms which was pretty spacious. Saturday night was very noisy with people coming back from nightlife in the early hours of the morning, lots of singing, shouting and banging of doors etc. SJ03 August 2013
4.0 star ratingManger Brian went above Hotelopia booked us into a non existent family room, allocating us a superior room (2 adults) when we needed a family room for two adults, two children. Manager advises this happens often so beware!!13 August 2013

5.0 star ratingExcellent value, friendly and helpful staff, room was nice and beds super comfy..would definitely stay here again ??16 September 2013
4.0 star ratingFor the price we were able to book this hotel at - it really is hard to beat in Plymouth. The location is very central and within easy walking distance of the harbour, shops and university. This is the ideal stopover point for anyone wanting to enjoy the nightlife that Plymouth has to offer or to drop off a student studying at the Uni. We have stayed at a few other places and this is the best all round for value and location. The hotel is getting a little tired and could do with a refurb in some areas. The food is so-so and if you are eating there are lots of better places down at the harbour to choose from. Car parking is a bit of a pain - there is a small car park adjacent to the hotel and another behind the hotel across the road. You have to pay for parking at a cost of £7 for 5pm to 11am and then £1 for each hour outside this. Factor this into your hotel costs! A tip - arrive well before 'bingo' hours as there is a bingo hall next door and finding a parking place is much harder at this time.Happymonday03 September 2013

4.0 star ratingThe room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is located in a central position, close to the Barbican, transport hub and shopping. We arrived at the hotel early (1:05pm), check-in time is 2:00pm. The guy at the desk informed us that he would 'fast track' our room. Went back to the desk at 2:05pm, and we were informed that our room wasn't ready, eventually checked in at 2:35pm. The electronic room key/card system was a shambles. Not once did it operate, without having to go back down to the front desk and have it reactivated. Then on the Sunday, an employee from the front desk had to come up to the room with a master keycard to let us into the roomAnonymous 05 October 2016
