Our price included dinner in the Rosewater which was a lovely restaurant with endless choice. Free turtle chocolates were left for us on our beds in the evening, which was very cute.None!Shaz22 June 2013

4.5 star ratingquality of foodbeach too small. And especially the work of the tower next door. If we had been aware of pollution, we would never have taken this hotel. We did not stay at the hotel during the day22 August 2013

5.0 star ratingWonderful new modern hotel with everything you need. Spacious rooms with all facilities.Excellent meals with a wide selection of cuisines. Don't miss afternoon tea on the 75th floor and the 360 degree expansive city wide views (provided there is no dust storm). Three pools and the Arabian Gulf to choose from. Well located and the Big Bus (hop on & hop off) stops at the front to provide access to the major points of interest. nothing negative to report.Anonymous 29 June 2014

5.0 star ratingFantastic Hotel, there is some construction going on next door and across the lagoon, but it isn't too loud. We got a fantastic deal on this hotel - I would definitely return. Not allowed to eat Waitrose products on the beach/by the pool - can only eat it in your rooms, however there are no signs to say that you cannot eat outside. Room service is expensive and not good value for money, the mash potatoes were not seasoned and basically what I could only describe as 'gloop'. Anonymous 07 June 2016

4.0 star ratingImpressive structure and interior for a modern day hotel building. Fantastic view of the AD Presidential Palace and The Emirates Palace Hotel from our room! Most staff are very nice, polite and helpful. The food, good quality both buffet breakfast and dinner, offers a wide variety of culinary flavors from different cultures. Desserts are great! Observance of Easter by the Hotel was quite impressive...easter bunny bread figures displayed at breakfast and on desserts and chocolates was really very nice...we even got a bunch of chocolate bunnies and eggs in our room! Thanks!Building constructions around the hotel are a "sore-eye" and ruins the view of the hotel private beach. We can hear flushing and flowing water sounds in our bedroom (on the 32nd floor) coming from the upper room! Some of the restaurant staffs though polite and cordial seems still "raw" for a five-star restaurant job. Guests used plates linger on tables longer than they should. Oftentimes we had to turn our heads to all directions to ''find them''(though they are all over) and even raise our hands long to get their attention for service. More than a couple of times we had to follow up on our coffee(especially during breakfast...they come when we are on our second servings already))...they are quicker taking the order but felt like they forget to deliver it. At one time we were served with two almost-full-cups of coffees with dripping marks all around it and without its saucers. At another time, there was softdrink mess on the floor and guests had to walk on it several times during dinner before it got cleaned up...and guests are not even being warned about it! Some of the placemats(plastics) are stained! Which is intolerable!...Its a five-star hotel! They should be using white table linens. We have travelled a lot and stayed in pioneer hotels, five stars and new ones and have seen better and quicker service; snappy and confident staff who remembers us already on the second meeting.( It would have felt very nice as guests had the receiving or any one of the restaurant staff addressed us with our registered name at least on our 4th night having taken breakfast and dinner everyday there.) Those kinds of inefficiencies not only spoil the guests stays but can marr the hotels reputation are responsibilities of the outlet heads and not the lower staff themselves. Five star hotel staff should be rigidly trained with high quality guest servicing especially in the hotel restaurants. They should not be just polite and courteous and not focused only on cleaning up but also alert and attentive to their guests meaning they should always have their eyes and not their backs on the guests in the room and not wait to be called. It should not be necessary for guests to wave or snap a finger to get service. Eye contact should be enough that a guest needs something. These are responsibilties of the outlet heads, supervisor or managers...to make sure that their subordinates delivers more than five star quality services.Anonym 01 April 2016
