4.5 star ratingThere was a problem with the air-con in our room - it would only give us an icy blast. One phone call to reception and we were moved to another room. No fuss, no problem. I was impressed.24 January 2010

4.5 star ratingGreat friendly staff, and very helpful. Very good Good value. Breakfast included which was a bonus. Buses run all of the time and its very east to get around from the hotel. We had a family room. The childrens bed was a sofa bed which was very uncomfortable & split in the middle. The children found this unpleasant during the night.16 April 2010
4.0 star ratingIdeal location. Close to Bus stop, which has regular buses into city centre. Also near to Ocean Terminal which has restaurants, shops etc Excellent value for money, Would def recommend somebody to stay at this hotel if going to Edinburgh. As it is excellent value for money, and with a bus stop outside the hotel which runs a regular service you can be in town cheaply (without spending a fortune on taxis!)within a few minutes.Breakfast was pretty poor selection. A bit more choice would be ideal!26 May 2010

4.0 star ratingwe thought the hotel was in a good location, about 2 miles out of edinburgh it self! it was in a quite quiet location, with buses running ever 5 mins or so into the centre of edinburgh! The hotel bedrooms were clean and fairly roomy! towels changed every day! The breakfast was an added bonus! eat as much or as little as you wanted! The staff at the reception were all very friendly and helpfull and seemed to know a lot about edinburgh itself !!Quite disappointed that the tables were not wiped in between people having their breakfast! it would have only taken a few mins! The staff that were working during breakfast time seemed to be rushed off their feet, refilling things,so maybe a few extra hands would have helped! where our room was situated we were right beside the lift, which we found quite noisey!08 August 2010

4.0 star ratingWe enjoyed our stay and would consider using the hotel next time we visit Edinburgh.I was annoyed that the maid didn't seem to understand your policy that if the towels were on the rail then we would use them again! On returning to our room there were fresh towels! What a waste of resourses. The choice of bacon at breakfast would have been appreciated.08 July 2011
3.5 star ratingThe bathroom was really clean and the breakfast and hotel was value for money, the bed was also very comfey.I thought the male person who seen to us did not make you feel welcome, as there were a family before us who got told and given a map of the city and where things were, without even asking for it. Where as we just got told what time breakfast was and are room number, Which as guest first time in Edinburgh i thouht was very rude. Parts of the room were dirty the white bed sheeets had dirty marks on, the sofa bed was also dirty, and for the net curtains on the window look like they had never been cleaned.28 June 2011
5.0 star ratingVery good value with pleasant helpful staff. 19 September 2011
4.5 star ratingGood Rooms. Very CleanWalls are thin so a lot of noise from other rooms.20 March 2012
4.5 star ratingVery nice hotel, our room was very clean and comfortable, with a nice big TV. The toilet was extremely clean and pleasant, thank you for that. Breakfast was included in our stay which was lovely and filled up our tummies nicely before leaving. All in all, nothing out of the ordinary, but a big plus for the cleanliness of the rooms! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The location is also very nice, not in city center exactly but restaurants and shops can be found in the nearby shopping center or by just walking for approx. 1 km. Great bus connections to other parts of town as well. What I also liked was that it wasn't a big hotel and not a small one, but just the perfect size to keep a comfortable atmosphere, almost as if it wasn't a part of a big chain of hotels.Bread and croissants at breakfast were rather stale. Good thing there was cereal and scrambled eggs etc. to choose from.24 October 2013
4.5 star ratingVery pleased with the comfort and cleanliness. The lack of a restaurant was a bit of a blow but your front desk staff produced a sheet of paper with all the local restaurants - from which we were able to make our choice. None that I can recall!09 October 2013
3.5 star ratingGood location, friendly staffRoom was a bit small, bathroom door would not close and the water was never very hot. Lift kept breaking down?Gareth10 October 2013

3.5 star ratingA good HotelRoom did not have a toilet brush. Insufficient vent in toilet area which was also on the small side. Upon request of a mattress topper 2 quilts were supplied as underlay. ( Uncomfortable mattress ) It helped a little. 21 October 2013
4.5 star ratingA very good stay apart from the woman behind the desk in the morning she had a conversation with the couple in front about how their stay was hope they had a good day when it was out turn to hand in the room keys she didn't say a word to us and was very rude. She was not professional at all we never did anything to her so was confused as to why she ignored us but happily spoke to the couple in the front. Paul17 October 2013
5.0 star ratingThe hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. Great breakfast in the morning. It's about a half an hour walk to the centre but has a good bus route that can be accessed next to the hotel. We would definitely go back on our next trip to Edinburgh! 19 October 2013
5.0 star ratingsituated in a nice area on the waterfront, with shopping mall just across the road. The Royal Yacht Britannia and Princes street just a short distance away. Would recommend the Hotel None19 October 2013
4.0 star ratingNice room, free wifi . Bus stop right outside the door, Very busy breakfast room, had to wait for cutlery, cups, glasses for juice. Not enough staff on duty to cope with the amount of patrons. The food was fine, but a wee tip , the toaster takes for ever, so make it before you help yourself to the sausage and eggs.20 October 2013

5.0 star ratingIt was by far the best hotel experience in all my years of travel. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and so helpful. Our flight from Dublin was very early so we arrived several hrs before check-in. Luckily our room was ready and we checked-in early and were able to have breakfast at no extra charge. We got free wi-fi access for 2 devices which as perfect. It was a very easy bus ride to the center of town. Several buses stop right in front of the hotel. You can take the 35 bus from the airport and it lets you off right in front of the hotel. It was an 1 hr and a half bus ride but it gave us a chance to see the city and it only cost 1.50 vs an expensive cab ride. Across the street is a mall, a movie theatre and a great hiking/jogging trail. The free breakfast was excellent. Much more than just cold cereal. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an nice hotel to stay at while in Edinburgh. I don't have any. This for now on will be my go-tol hotel when I stay in Edinburgh. Wendy31 March 2014
