5.0 star ratinggreat hotel it really has a village atmosphere about it, has everything you need. Fireworks were awesome especially since we were on the ocean side of the rainbow tower they were literally right outside our balcony. having to pay for extras like all water activities and umbrella for the day, i would of thought that the resort fee would of included at least some activities. Not that close to the heart of waikiki either bus or taxi into that area unless you like walkingmatnell27 May 2013
3.5 star ratingThe overall presentation and location of the hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools and slides were wonderful but crowded. Shuttles were convenient and helpful. We were unimpressed by the on site restaurant choices and dined at other locations. There were no late night food choices at the bar other than an over priced Round Table pizza that I would have had to wait until it was delivered from across the street. There was a large gap at the bottom of our room door that we covered each evening with towels to keep the light and noise out. We had late night noise issues outside of our room with loud music and talking on two out of our six night stay. Staff addressed it when we made a call to the front desk. It would have been nicer if the slides were open for longer periods of time for our children to enjoy. We had to go to another hotel to pickup and drop off our Dollar rental car. Hawaii's inflated prices for most everything drained our entertainment budget.03 June 2013
4.0 star ratingOverall this hotel was great, perfect for a family holiday with loads of activities and a central location. Kiwi15 June 2013
4.0 star ratingMany pools including a lagoon. Good quality shops and resturants although a little expensive. Great health food shop next to tapas tower pool. 4 water slides in 1 pool was graet addition for kids and or adults. Close to Alamona shopping centre largest outdoor shopping centre in the world, massive food court. Fire works display every Friday night. 25 Minute walk to Waikiki main beach . Rhino27 June 2013
4.5 star ratingLoved the gardens and animals our 2 year old was in heaven, loved the size of the rooms and the swimming pools view from room of rainbow tower.Too many rooms based of one infastructure I.e check in took forever, outdated movie system, no kettle in room or champagne glasses or milk, walk to the happening part of town. Only little things... We did really enjoy our stay29 June 2013
5.0 star ratingfantastic amenities and very friendly service across the entire hotel and the various separate retailers in the complexLiz27 July 2013
4.0 star ratingEverything available within resort, good place to take children. We stayed for 8nights which was supposed to get us an upgrade to next category, when we inquired about this we were given multiple excuses and ended up we were wasting valuable time getting nowhere. Of all the staff we dealt with over the 8 nights only one was very pleasant to deal with, the rest all seemed very unhappy and not very willing to help. Really didn't like the idea of time share that everyone tries to push on you. The fireworks on Friday night would be much better is guests didn't have to pay additional fees for the poolside seats that are normally included in resort fee. The renovations were supposed to be finished before we arrived, that was far from true. Overall a bit dissapointed with this resortHoneymooners08 August 2013
4.5 star ratingGreat resort right on the beach, several pools to choose from and heaps of restaurants. Main street of Waikiki is about a 10 minute walk away. 01 August 2013

4.5 star ratingreally good hotel and lot of facility, Pool, activity ... great to Family traveltoo west location at wikiki so ..main street is far from here ..23 August 2013
4.0 star ratingWe received a complimentary upgrade on arrival to a top floor ocean view room in the Tapa Tower, although this is one of the older more dated buildings in the complex it was still quite nice. The 35th floor has high ceilings so the room felt very spacious, and the small balcony had wonderful views of the beach and coastline. There were lots of renovations in the main lobby during our stay, and this impacted a little on the chaos at checkin, but wasn't anything major. The Village is HUGE and there is lots of food choices (although the more convenient to-go options are very overpriced), and the japanese we had was fresh and good value. The ability to quick-check-out and not visit the front desk saved us a lot of time, and we generally found staff helpful and friendly. Overall a good stay. 29 August 2013
3.0 star ratingLots of pools for the kids to swim at. Great lagoon. Many shops within resort. Food at the restaurants was nice. Play station in room was great. Free DVD hire. 15 minute walk along the beach to Waikiki.Disappointed to be woken at 1145 pm by housekeeping vacuuming next door. When we complained we were told we should have put the do not disturb sign on our door.? Staff closed the paradise pool while we were in it on day 1 because someone pooped in the pool. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table at tropics for dinner. When we were finally escorted to our table it hadn't been cleaned from the previous diners. Their was food under the table that was not cleaned up and I sat on a fork which was left on my seat. Also felt as if we were just a number. Most other hotels we have stayed at, staff go out of their to make you feel special. Not here. Because of the amount of guests staying at the hotel, I would estimate in the thousands, we found it very hard to relax. Hawaii=relaxing(not this hotel)14 October 2013
4.5 star ratingStaff were so friendly. We got upgraded, very happy about that. Grounds were clean. A very very busy hotel. Too busy for my liking. Had to pay extra for everything.... extra for breakfast, wifi that only worked in the rooms, parking, resort fee.... Too many extra fees that are not included in the total room fee. 3.0 star ratingOverwelming noise from people, children screaming at the pools area,no adult pool area.too many people it was like a huge shopping centre.just too big..Hilton beach area hard to go into water as there were so many rocks and broken Coral ,where as on the public beach just next door it was sandy and so nice, walls too thin as we could hear the people next door and gap under front door was too big allowing noise and light to come in. not like any other Hilton we have stayed at, I wanted to move after the 1st night as we could not sleep with people banging on doors, smashing doors shut and creaking doors when opening and closing,Some staff not very friendly ...very hard to say Aloha???? Also food was expensive compared to across the road. There was no orientation for the Tapa Tower while the other towers had an orienation and reception. We Stayed in Maui before we came to the Hilton, what a difference from the Fairmont to the Hilton??? Forget it not staying at this Hilton again.A village it's not but a Noisey City.Casper26 June 2014
2.5 star ratingTook 45 mins to check in and we were the only people there .. Constant confusion about our booking . Rang 1 week before , 1 day before and on the day to ensure we got adjoining rooms as travelling with small children but when we got there at 12 midnight . nothing had been organised . requested oceanview rainbow tower but nothing registered on our booking . had to take crappy room to get adjoining . Overall would not recommend to anyone . had to phone to get our room serviced . Anonymous 18 July 2014
