This authentic guesthouse is located in the heart of the oldest quarter of Fez, close to the medina and a 10-minute walk from Place R'cif. Some other local landmarks include the Batha Place, which is just a 15-minute stroll away, while the train station is within a short 10-minute drive. Dating back to 1760, the hotel has been carefully renovated and reconstructed, but still shows a glimpse of that long gone era. It features traditional architecture harmoniously combined with all the modern comforts. This typical house has two beautiful courtyards: a fountain courtyard around which the elegant rooms and suites are arranged, and the swimming pool patio with cosy, leafy garden. The large roof terrace treats to sweeping views over the medina and offers various relaxation areas such as a traditional Moroccan tent and an upper terrace with a panoramic view of the Atlas Mountains.

5.0 star ratingDas beste Riad, das ich kenne. Ein Haus aus dem 17. Jahrhundert mit herrlicher Inneneinrichtung, hohen Decken, einem kleinen Pool zum Abkühlen, toller Dachterasse. Sehr zu empfehlen.Keine Wegweiser, nur mit Guide zu finden.Michael27 May 2013
5.0 star ratingWe were warnly welcomed at the Bar Bensouda by the manager who couldn't have be more kiind, helpfull and accomodating. This Riad is has been lovingly renovated respecting the local style yet offering lovely large rooms/baths right in the center of the Medina!!! The Raids common rooms are big, open and inviting and the roof deck is worth a visit and a bit of time with a book and nibbles and wine. Great view partuclarly at night. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Breakfast were continental. We had enjpyed our stay and I would hestiate to recommend it particularly to those wanting the full experience of the Medina!!!! The Fez Medina is located on a hill and this Riad is smack in the middle of the Medina so no matter which you go you are eventually coming back up a hill. A bit of a challenage in the hot weather. It started to feel like I was doing the Grouse Grind once a day. So not for the faint of heart or the infirm. Expect to pay 10-20 Drh per trip to guides to get in and out of the Medina, its a rabbit warren of alleys and takes a while before you start to find your back. Wendy /Tracy06 November 2013

Our stay was short so we did not make full use of the whole facility - this is a place in which you could stay several days without feeling constrained.
