This hotel is located in the heart of the Fez Medina, 50 m from the Musée Batha, 250 m from the historical centre and 350 m from the Qaraouiyine Mosque. It lies just 1 km from the railway station and 1.5 km from the bus station. Thanks to its location, the hotel is the ideal starting point for an exploration of the many attractions of the city. Meknes and the town of Moulay Driss are 65 km, the site of Volubilis is 70 km and it lies 10 km from the national and international airport of Fez Saiss.This city establishment is the former residence of the British Consul and has been renovated and transformed into a hotel. It is decorated in Andalusian style with interior patios and fountains and comprises a total of 60 rooms including 1 suite, a garden and a terrace. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom, lift access and a TV lounge. There is a bar, a disco and 2 restaurant as well as a snack bar and guests can take advantage of the WLAN Internet access and room and laundry services (for an additional fee). There is parking available (charges apply) for those arriving by car.The rooms are quiet and simply decorated with warm colours and traditional furniture. They come with a private bathroom with a shower and offer a king-size or double bed. They are equipped with a telephone, a TV, a radio, Internet access and a safe. Furthermore, centrally regulated air conditioning and heating are provided in all accommodation as standard and all units feature either a balcony or a terrace.The hotel features an outdoor freshwater pool with a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols as well as a poolside bar where guests can order drinks and snacks. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round of their favourite game at the nearby Royal Golf de Fes, which is just 12 km from the property.The hotel serves Moroccan specialities and international dishes.

4.0 star ratingAll the staff were very polite, attentive and helpfull. The location of the hotel, at the gateway to the Medina, was really very convenient for my stay in Fes. The interior design being being very traditional Moroccan made all rightly atmospheric. Although the rooms etc very clean, perhaps the overall maintenance was perhaps a little wanting, but nothing serious enough to upset my visit. My stay there was very much out of season, and there were very few guests, so perhaps it was not cost effective for the management to overly heat interior, which being hacienda open plan style is determined by the level of openair temperatures: and the cost of my four day half board accommodation was very reasonable, so I really have no complaints at all . 29 January 2011

2.5 star ratingin center citybe careful to book this hotel, we already get confirmation from hotelopia book one night and after arrived there they said is no room,and they just blamed hotelopia,... also there is one word said from them is not their problem. so we have to call many time to hotel opia that spent alot money to call abroad spain.so this hotel not professional they must have direct notice to on line booking system.finally we have to moved to other hotel.moroc10 May 2013
4.0 star ratingHeerlijk, goed hotel. Goed gelegen. Ergens is er een kortsluiting tussen hotel en hotelopia wat de tax en toeristenbelasting betreft. Op de reservering van hotelopia staat dat de prijs inclusief de tax en toeristenbelasting is en in het hotel hebben ze een papier waarop staat dat zij de tax en toeristenbelasting mogen innen en zij doen dit dan ook. ellen09 June 2013
4.0 star ratingUitstekende ligging, net aan ingang medina. Gemakkelijk bereikbaar van luchthaven met taxi (12 euro). Ruime kamer (badkamer en toilet gescheiden) werd iedere dag opgeruimd. Handdoeken in prima staat en veel in tegenstelling tot wat men dikwijls leest. Pluspunt is zeker het zwembad, niet al te groot maar toch fijn voor afkoeling. Wifi (zelfs zonder code) werkt uitstekend op 2de verdiep aan bar. Wij hadden kamer aan de binnenkant waardoor geen hinder van straatlawaai, Marokko leeft wel 's nachts, dus... Het ontbijt is inderdaad niet al te uitgebreid maar meer dan voldoende en lekker vers (stokbrood, croissants, chocoladebroodjes, rozijnebroodje, kaas, hesp, Marokkaans brood,..,...,....). Wij hebben voor 2pers kamer maar 38 euro per nacht betaald dus eis geen luxe ontbijt. Voor ons zeker een aanrader, je krijgt waar voor je geld. Vriendelijk personeel. Openbaar vervoer is er spotgoedkoop, maak er zeker gebruik van, ook de trein. Voor herhaling vatbaar.Geen negatieve ervaringen misschien dat de hoofdkussens en matras aan de harde kant zijn maar dat is dan voor anderen wel goed.Isa18 September 2013
