Hotel do Colégio is a boutique hotel run in a manor house built on the 19th century, during the golden age f the orange trade between Ponta Delgada and England. With a privileged location, in the historical city centre, Colégio is a unique hotel that combines the charm of the time it was built with all our modern comforts.In 2017, Colégio started a new cycle and presents itself with a new and better environment, image and decoration, as well as the excellence service they've always put and effort to provide.The hotel is divided in two wings: the Colégio (=School) wing and the Conservatório (=Conservatory) wing.Colégio represents the newest part of the building and has 45 standard rooms. Its name is a reference to "A Colmeia" (=The Beehive) school, where many generations of students from São Miguel island came to learn. You will find your room's number through a ruler, drawn along the corridor. You'll also note the school inspiration on the rooms, which are equiped with all the conditions to make our guests feel confortable.Conservatório represents the historical part of the building, with traces of the time when the house was originally built, around the 19th century. It was also here that, in the 20th century, the Regional Conservatory of Music of Ponta Delgada was founded. Thats why all the 14 rooms in this wing, including 12 superior rooms, 1 suite and 1 junior suite, breath music. That translates into the decoration. They're also named after traditional azorean songs. Besides all the conveniences of the standard rooms, you'll have the privilege to stay at the quieter wing of the hotel.
