This new hotel is situated at the edge of Amsterdam city centre. The historical centre of Amsterdam, the Rai Congress Centre, the train station and the Sloterdijk, Zuid-As and WTC business parks are all just 10 minutes away by car or 15 minutes by direct bus, tram or train. Guests will find restaurants and shopping venues 3 kms away and it is 5 kms to the city centre. Schiphol Airport is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. This city hotel is the perfect base from which to discover Amsterdam and its surrounding area thanks to its accessibility both by car and public transport. Renovated in 2007, it comprises a total of 186 rooms over 11 floors. 4.5 star ratingrooms were really nice and the bed was so comfortable we had tea and coffee making facilities which is a plus, overall very happy with the room. can be a bit stuffy in the rooms with air conditioning, we understood we couldnt open the windows this was for safety reasons. 01 December 2008

4.5 star ratingFloors 11 to 10 had stairs as the elevator only went up to floor 10. My colleague was on floor 11. I left his room and slipped on the very steep carpeted stairs. I split my leg open, damaged my shoulder and marked my face. No new hotel should have guests going down stairs like that.25 March 2009

1.5 star ratingShower made you jump back and out of the way. Went from warm to so hot that you could cook food in it. Rooms are tired and shabby. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were terrible. rock hard sugar, cheap coffee and nasty powdered milk. NO BAR IN THE HOTEL. No alcohol available in the bar or in the restaurant. NOT 10 minutes from the airport. 40 euros in a cab and 25 minutes. States that an ironing board and iron is available in the room. There is not. You have to plead with reception and they will then ask for a 20 euro deposit. Will not ever book this hotel againAnonymous 22 November 2014
