The hotel is within walking distance of Arken Art Museum, the beach and Ishøj Shopping Centre, with its restaurants and selection of high street stores. There is easy access by train to Copenhagen city centre, Copenhagen Congress Centre Bella and Copenhagen Airport is 40 minaway. The hotel was renovated in 2005 and has a total of 42 rooms. It is located on the 6th-9th floor of Ishøj Shopping Centre, with an impressive view of the bay. Guests are offered a lobby with a reception desk, as well as currency exchange facilities and a newspaper stand. For the guests' fine dining there is a restaurant. Those arriving by car may use the free car park. The rooms are decorated in a bright and friendly Scandinavian style, and come with en suite bathroom. Further amenities include cable TV, central heating and lounge. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet, soft drinks, beer and snacks.

2.5 star ratingThe breakfast was very acceptable.It is very handy for the suburban railway station.You are undercover from the station to the hotel, via the shopping centreIt was a disgrace! Arriving at 1805, we found the reception closed. On attempting to use the automatic registration in the foyer, our reservation number was not accepted. On attempting to use our credit card, to gain access for the first night and claim a refund from reception the next day, our credit card was not accepted. While doing this, an American arrived and advised us to go elsewhere, as this hotel was a "bad joke". We finally gained admission by using only the last five digits of the booking reference. Our room had a slightly cracked washbasin, but, more importantly, the three windows had only two roller blinds, so we were awoken by the sunshine streaming in at 0530. On speaking to reception in the morning, surprise was expressed but nothing more!! In desperation, we asked for two bin bags which we tied together and to the roller blind rail, and blocked the bottom third of the window by rolling up, concertina-like, the duvet from the bunk bed. Local youths noisily used the shopping centre carpark below our window as a floodlit football pitch until after midnight (fortunately, it rained on the two middle nights!), and on the last night a yob played rap music at full blast for 15 minutes at 0130, interspersed with handbrake turns. All in all, a most disappointing experience. //c~Nothing except catch the train to Copenhagen centre, 18km away.//14 August 2008
