Hotel Information

The hotel is the closest property to Yosemite Falls. It is located in Yosemite Valley, a convenient location for visitors interested in hiking Half Dome, Glacier Point or one of the many trails originating near the lodge. The hotel was built in 1915 and modernised in 1956 and then again in 1998. The year-round complex places an emphasis on glass, wood and landscaping of indigenous trees, shrubs and wildflowers that harmoniously blend with the natural beauty of the Yosemite Valley. The location of the hotel is the reason it is one of the most sought-after places to find reservations in and around Yosemite National Park. Guests may sip their favourite drink at the bar. The hotel rooms do not offer amenities such as televisions or air conditioning. Nearly every seat in the Mountain Room Restaurant has an outstanding view of the 740-metre-high Yosemite Falls.

4.0 star ratingHi there. this hotel is located in the wilderness and was as expected. It is not a 5 star hotel. It was basic, clean and tidy, It allows people to get in touch with the natural beauty of the location. Staff worked very hard in all aspects of the facilities. Fantastic location. 4.5 star ratingExcellent location, right in the heart of Yosemite. The Yosemite falls were just outside our door. The shuttle bus was right at our door. We stayed in a room with a balcony, although it was too cold to sit outside we felt we were up in the trees.Toni04 June 2015
3.5 star ratingThere was nothing wrong with the room or facilities. We wanted a room for 5 persons (we made this specifically clear to Hotelopia) and got a room with two smallish double beds. When we queried this an additional roller bed was added. But a bit of a squeeze. According to staff on site this was Hotelopias error. Anonymous 30 June 2015
