Willington Hall Hotel Cheshire

Situated at the foot of the Willington Hills this exquisite 3 star AA rated hotel offers free Wi-Fi and parking with wonderful views across the Cheshire countryside. Willington Hall was built in 1829 once a private house of the Tomkinson family and was converted into this wonderful hotel in 1977. The architect, George Latham, practised a style he called ‘Queen Elizabethan’ and the period features and country house charm have been preserved to this day. In 1999 the Begbie family, hotel proprietors for three generations, took over the hotel and have lovingly restored the house and gardens. Each of the 12 en-suite bedrooms are individually designed with their own unique layout and antique furnishings. All of these luxurious rooms contain Egyptian cotton linen and complimentary toiletries, equipped with all necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. In addition, all of the bedrooms have digital TV, radio, hairdryer, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities. Most of these elegant rooms boast a magnificent view across the extensive parkland, the types of which range from Single, Double, Twin and Four Poster. There are 17 acres of formal gardens and parkland surrounding the hotel, which provide wonderful views across the Cheshire countryside. Guests are welcome to explore these grounds and enjoy the rolling lawns, York stone terraces, follies and kitchen gardens. The Gainsborough Restaurant provides full a la carte and table d’hôtel menus for both residents and non-residents daily. The head chef prepares a fusion of modern British cuisine with fresh local produce wherever possible, much of which is grown in the commercial greenhouse within the grounds. These delightful dishes are complimented by the varied selection of wine from the extensive wine list.
