This attractive resort hotel is set just 30 metres from the sandy beach and right next to the Varadero Golf Club. Apart from spending warm, sunny days lounging on the beach or by the sparkling outdoor pool, guests might enjoy a game of beach volleyball, take a Spanish language or tennis lesson, or rent a bicycle and go for a ride along the coast. Children will delight in the kid's club and children's swimming pool. Families might also make use of the games room offering billiards, board games, table tennis and shuffleboard. The cosy rooms are air-conditioned, en suite, and equipped with blackout drapes for those who prefer to dance the night away and sleep in the next morning. The main restaurant serves a rich and varied buffet of dishes from around the globe, while the two a la carte restaurants offer local specialties and classic comfort foods, all for a delightful family holiday of sea and sun.

3.5 star ratingNice and clean rooms. Friendly staff. The service in the bars and the restaurants need improvement. You need more staff and better and quicker service. The drinks are not always up to standard. You need a better bar at the beach. You could hardly get anything else but beer there. As a guest you should also be able to get something to eat and drink 24 hours a day. Karolina01 January 2013

3.0 star ratingFood was okay- Dining room staff were good.Room was not what we requested. Front desk staff rude and not easy to talk to. Food was mostly cold. Long line ups waiting for meats to be cooked and than when put on the plate,it remained uncooked so unable to eat it. No activities throughout the day and entertainment poor. Person cooking at Beach Bar was also emtying dirty plates into garbage can. Grounds unkept. Have been to many allinclusive resorts and this one was the worst one ever-will definitely not be back or recommend it to others13 February 2013
2.0 star ratingEl Rancho a la carte was good service with quality food. Pools were very nice and well kept.Food in buffets lukewarm at best. Meats partially raw consistently. No order to buffets lineup of foods. Quality of drinks not great, out of lots of stuff. Cleanliness is something they need to really oversee. Entertainment is the same every night, just different costumes. Not enough variety.09 February 2013
2.5 star ratingfriendly staff except for the short fat guy working the beach bar. He had a poor attitude, pushing the menu card at customers when they asked for drinks not available there and then walking away to cut up fish for 5 minutes before returning to attend the bar. public areas were very clean as well as the pool and beach. Grounds were ok but trees need triming on the walking paths as we had to duck to avoid branches. Better lighting to beach would be nice. rooms are in need of maintenance. Lobster, chicken and pork was not cooked enough. Set up of food was not properly organized. Pancakes in one area and then having to return to the front of the line for the pancake syrup for example. Only one computer available for internet and it had a messed up keyboard. It would also be nice if Cuba joined the rest of the world and didn't allow indoor smoking. Please rotate the entertainment group. 10 February 2013
