The hotel is located around 40 km from Havana's José Marti international airport and 28 km from the centre of Havana. It is just a few minutes to the nearest beach. This traditional hotel was opened in 1976 and offers a pleasant Caribbean ambience with sprawling indoor and outdoor areas. The hotel comprises a total of 188 rooms. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a reception desk, a safe and a currency exchange bureau. Further facilities include a nightclub and a restaurant as well as room and laundry services. 4.0 star ratingRemember, this is Cuba. The food was fine for 3 to 4 days. After that I would get a little bored with it. Salads were wonderful, but there was a lack of meat / chicken / fish. It had a basic but perfectly adequate weights gym (no cardio). Salsa and Spanish lessons. Well, outside the hotel there are quite a few prostitutes on the beach. As a family or couple you probably wouldn't even notice it. But as a single guy you will get a little hassle, albeit friendly. Don't let this put you off. It's a decent hotel to stay at for 3-4 nights. A week might be boring.Martin21 March 2014
