4.0 star ratingGood location in centre of town and with parking. Friendly and efficient service but some reservations about the food. We had a poor meal in the evening and although our breakfast was very good the staff on duty were not obviously present when it came to clearing our dishes etc. That said it is a good spot with much to recommend it.22 November 2012

3.5 star ratingStellenbosch Hotel is a beautiful old building in a lovely tree lined street. Room was very good value for money although I would not have paid more as it was very small but perfect for one night. Very convenient position and we were thankful that we could park underground at no extra fee.On arrival the reception staff were busy and were quite rude when my husband tried to find out if there was parking. On check in they were also not very friendly at all. Breakfast was chaos - air conditioning remote had been lost a week before so it was freezing in the diningroom and nothing could be done. Cooked breakfast was cold, cutlery not on tables but on central food unit. No salt, pepper did not open, staff seemed to be stressed and rushing back and forwards trying to find things - just seemed very badly managed. Seemed everyone was very sidetracked - not sure why.13 February 2013
