The hotel is located in Guia de Isora. Volcanic landscapes, lush vegetation with over 300 varieties of plants, trees and palms surround the property. It offers a panoramic view of the island of La Gomera. Located on the gentle slopes of the Teide, the hotel extends to the ocean with its own private beach. Bearing the mark of ethnic inspiration, the property is a magical citadel of Arab-style, interconnected buildings, which with its ingenious design offers truly calm and serene spaces. M.B is a signature restaurant of the famous Basque chef Martin Berasategui. Abama golf course is one of Dave Thomas's finest achievements - and a true must for the golf enthusiasts.

4.5 star ratingWonderful setting and great, relaxing setup. Noisy breakfast (lots of children, makes the experience of having breakfast not as pleasant as it could be). However, the last day of our stay there was another breakfast for adults only, which was a very nice idea, and a pleasant meal. The quality of the food in the restaurants (except the Kabuki) should be much better for the prices charged. Now it is overpriced for mediocre food. Sandy27 February 2011
5.0 star ratingGreat hotel with a lot to offer. It's a large resort, but designed in such a way it doesn't feel like it. Lot's of great facilities with excellent staff to match for the majority of the time. Room was large and very nice, well what you would expect from a Ritz Carlton.Our welcome wasn't fantastic and we had to haul our own bags into reception, where we were "greeted" by a rather unfriendly man on reception. I am capable of carrying my own bags, but not what you expect when you pay this much. Besides that, all the staff were very good and made you feel welcome and individual.Anonymous 18 March 2015
