Hotel Information

Experience the best in Scottish scenery in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Glencoe. Cosy bedrooms, superb views of the loch, a welcoming bar and a restaurant offering wholesome, filling food all day. Take in the views from the comfort of our restaurant or if you fancy dining al fresco there is the decked terrace which also comprises fabulous views over the loch. With the sun setting over the Ballachulish bridge and a bit of a breeze (to keep the dreaded midges at bay), what better way is there to enjoy a big bowl of fresh langoustines. The bar offers the perfect spot to indulge in some post climb analysis; with comfy seating and a large selection of beers, wines and spirits, tired legs will soon be recovered. Work your way around the distilleries of Scotland, tasting malts from our extensive selection - from the rich and peaty Islay malts such as Ardbeg, to the smooth caramel flavours of the lowland malts such as Auchentoshan. Enjoy a glass of wine and thaw out cold toes in front of the wood burning stove, or join the locals for a cold pint and a chat in the bar.from the North: Take the A82 south from Fort William, past the Corran Ferry and over the Ballahulish Bridge. Go through the roundabout (second exit), pass Ballachulish on the right. The hotel will be on your right opposite the junction for the village of Glencoe. From the South: From Crianlarich take the A82 north to Tyndrum. Continue on the A82 signposted Fort William and on through Glen Coe. The hotel will be on your left as you enter the village of Glencoe, just after the filling station.

4.5 star ratingShould be one of the best accomodation in the areaOnly one night so couldn't find any negative!05 December 2013
2.5 star ratingOur room was pretty nice, with plenty of room and a comfortable bed, and the location at the start of the Glen Coe valley was what we chose the hotel for.Noise from the very busy road completely spoiled the peaceful atmosphere I had hoped for. One of our rooms was set back from the road, but even so, we couldn't sleep with the window open. The other room was right beside the room, and actually vibrated when some vehicles went past. The bathroom was not particularly clean, with a huge big ball of hair half way up the shower wall. I also found someone's toenail clipping on the bathroom floor. Lack of a cold buffet at breakfast turned breakfast into a cumbersome and very slow affair. I get the feeling that the hotel is woefully understaffed; although all the staff were really pleasant and friendly, there just didn't seem enough of them to provide a good service.JennyS29 May 2017
3.0 star ratingThe picture of the hotel is deceiving as it is across the road from the lake and our "lake view" room was small and obscured by a large wall . The picture of the restaurant looked nice but when we booked in we were told it was closed . The following morning as we went for breakfast we passed reception and heard the chef complaining he was short of a lot of things off the menu. Sure enough we ordered haddock they had non . Someone else ordered full Scottish there was no haggis . My husband ordered poached eggs and got two very hard vinegary excuses for eggs. It was all a bit shabby and amateurish . We booked because of the location and the pictures of the hotel looked better than in reality . I would not go back Beek24 April 2016
