1.5 star ratingWe attended a function in the hotel which is why we stayed in room 208. Overall hotel is dated and in need of major investment. The bed in the room is the most uncomfortable i have ever slept in, felt like a spring in my back all night, had the worst sleep ever, the room itself just looks dirty, nightclub carpet style. Bathroom had a spider in it, there is no shower in the bathroom only a small bath (i have never stayed in accomodation that never had a shower) the bath had water mark stain in the bath, the wooden window in the bedroom opened up the , the lock was broken so never stayed up (the room was too hot so wanted to open the window) this hotel is like fawlty towers meets the shining, no wonder we holiday abroad. Also my partner left her watch in the bathroom, was it there when we phoned the hotel later that day, of course it wasn't!!!! 06 October 2010

1.5 star ratingI felt sorry for the young woman in receptionOn our arrival we were so shocked at the poor quality of the accommodation that we found a bed and breakfast instead. The car park, if you could call it that, was situated at the back of the building and very seedy. There was no way I felt my car would be safe there and the sign on the wall not accepting any responsibility for damage confirmed this. There was a strong smell of fried food as we walked into, the hotel that then stuck to our clothes. They wanted the money up front (always a bad sign) and as we were taken to the rooms we noticed the carpets dirty and the whole place looking really run down. The manager wasn't at all interested in discussing a refund, so we just left. Speaking with local folk, this was once a very nice hotel, but has been let go for the past few years and we are not the first to make the decision to check into a bed and breakfast rather than stay. I would strongly advise anyone giving this hotel a miss.A Holland 27 September 2014
