4.0 star ratingThe room was spacious for our family and had TV's for the kids. The breakfast menu was extensive. We all enjoyed our stay at the Big Blue Hotel and will look to stay there again in future03 August 2011
5.0 star ratingMy daughter and I stayed in a deluxe double, it was absolutely beautiful.. We had a view of the roller coasters and sat in the 'living room' area of the bedroom on the morning, with the fire on, drinking the complimentary hot chocolate watching the roller coasters go by! Ate in the restaurant for our evening meal, which was very upmarket., the kids menu was very 'kids orientated' with nuggets etc, and the adult menu was rather fancy! The staff throughout the trip were fantastic! Nothing was to much trouble! Will definitely stay again! Food and wine in restaurant slightly overpriced. That is my only complaint.Liz_uk03 September 2011

4.5 star ratingVery clean, practical and good location. Staff also very friendlyBreakfast time was a nightmare! I don't think we were the only ones thinking it as there was an awful lot of people waiting and pulling faces. Perhaps a booking system would be better?26 October 2011

5.0 star ratingCannot fault the cleanliness of the hotel, every area was spotless and the staff were so very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I stay in Hilton/Marriott/Novotel hotels on a regular basis and this hotel is on a level with them, if not above.I was in room 304 and overlooked the front of the hotel. I had my 15 month old baby with me and there was some quite loud noise coming from the front of the property at night and again early morning. It may be more appropriate for families with young children to be in rooms at the rear of the hotel looking the pleasure beach or an option be given at check-in.14 October 2012
4.5 star ratingHotel was lovely, the deluxe room was gorgeous and clean! Would definitely stay with yourselves againMy only negative was there was a stain on one of the hand towels, we did point this out before we left, but it didn't bother us, as there where plenty of towels in the room08 November 2012
4.0 star ratingRoom was on the top floor and overlooking the pleasure beach which is what we requested so that was great. Loads of choice at breakfast and lovely muffins! It was great being able to pick up wristbands from the hotel Reception and then being able to use the guest entrance near the hotel. Fab having 3 TV's in the room. Large ensuite and free parking.Windows were dirty which spolit the view a little. The bunk beds only seem to be suitable up to age 11 so not sure how you stay as a family when the kids are over this. Check in could be a little earlier than 3pm.CJ29 October 2012

4.0 star ratingStaff were very helpful and polite. Room was a good size and very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. We very much enjoyed our stay. Our headboard on the double bed was slightly dirty but that's the only thing I could fault, everything was good. Anonymous 29 March 2013
4.5 star ratingBreakfast very good. Staff polite, friendly and professional. Not much drawer space if you have clothes for several days clothes. Surprised that no room safe for storing valuables. 25 March 2013
4.5 star ratingGreat childrens area in the family room. Nice and clean and modern. Free parking in the hotel and free spaces available on the road outside after checkout time. Direct entrance to the Pleasure Beach. Breakfast plentiful and of good quality. At first the reception could not find my booking (Hotelopia) and the member of staff dealing with this was condesending. They did eventualy find my booking and she then changed her tune. Cannot re-enter the hotel directly from the Pleasure Beach and if like us you have 2 small children and have only been visiting Nickelodean Land, you have quite a trek to walk all the around. The restaurant is really nice but be aware that the a la carte portions are true to form in that they are extremely small.Del08 April 2013
5.0 star ratingFantastic clean rooms, great service, friendly and professional staff. breakfast is fresh and delicious every morning. The rooms are quite and family friendly. The lighting could have been more brighter in the room but otherwise great.Nandy D18 April 2013

4.5 star ratingVery clean comfortable accommodation - breakfast was excellent - hotel conveniently situated for attractions Pleasure Beach on doorstep and Blackpool Tower tram ride away.- family friendly.TV screen in room could have been largerMM09 September 2013
5.0 star ratingThey always say that first impressions count on they really do in this case. The staff where professional but warm and friendly. Quick checking in process and up in our room in 10 minutes. The buffet breakfast had enough choice to suit all and the staff where wonderful. When asked for a map, they give us good directions and good places to visit. Do not know what they put in the water here but all staff where absolutely wonderful. We have booked again for the end of February. We where on the 3rd floor overlooking the pleasure beach which was good but we could here them working early in the morning so not good for those who like a late rise. I would presume that the bedrooms on the front would be much quieter. Though the kids will love watching the rides go by. It did not spoil our stay. Jontie05 February 2014
