4.5 star ratingFor a 2 star hotel this one is fantgastic. It overlooks the loch offering stunning views. I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel. We stayed for two nights over hogmany so it was really busy and the staff could not have been any better. Had a wonderful time, will definetly go back.05 January 2010

3.5 star ratingLocation is brilliant with great views. Saturday night entertainment was so old fashioned and "northern club like" it was brilliant!!! Food choices were good as was the bar drinks. Good hotel for a break in the journey from Glasgow to where ever. I would use it again as a one night stop off or two despite the negative points I've made it was clean and comfortable. The lift was a plus and I saw It allowed Dogs on one floor.Front desk staff didn't smile much so not very welcoming which stood out as Scotland is generally so welcoming and friendly. I put it down to Staff training. There was a Disabled access at the side I was told but such a long way round if you are just bad on your feet like my 90 year old Dad. Though it could be a great hotel which would bump the price up it did lack in basic Staff professionalism. The bar staff served a short pint in a non lined glass and I was told she was told to serve the beer to the top of a logo on the glass! Not their fault really. In the restaurant The music out of a small portable CD player was such a bizarre mix it was off putting. My Spaghetti Bolognese was cold and had grated Cheddar cheese on it when it came back it burnt my mouth!! I say all this in the hope the hotel reads it too. Anonymous 19 August 2014

4.0 star ratingRoom was comfortable enough with good view of the Loch. Food and service was fine. Clean and warm enough. Value OK for family of three.Decor a bit tired. Clientele seemed to be mainly coach parties of older guests with a few extras. Anonymous 29 October 2016
4.5 star ratingGood value for money. Uninterrupted views over Loch Long. Friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast and cooked to order. Within reasonable driving distance of Glencoe Mountain ski area (less than 1 hour). The interior of the hotel has no historic character. No step-free access to main entrance.Anonymous 01 April 2016
