4.5 star ratingGreat service, breakfast and value for money.Live Music in the bar was not up to the standard experienced in the Temple Bar area. Turns out that Paul the Barman would have done a better job. Enjoy guitar rather than same tempo/key keyboard for all the songs!KazSheff03 November 2009

3.0 star ratingNice view from the window. The bath would only fit a small child - shouldn't be used as a selling point for the hotel. Anonymous 01 July 2014
3.5 star ratingThe hotel served our purpose perfectly. As we were in Dublin for our daughter's graduation from UCD the Tara Towers Hotel was convenient and adequate. We got 5 B&Bs for €174.20 which I thought was more than reasonable for that area of Dublin. Parking at the hotel was handy - €5.00 for 24 hours which again seemed reasonable enough. The bedroom could have been cleaner. It's time they started throwing out the old and bringing in the new - it was like stepping back in time 40 years. Having said that, I would be happy to stay there again.Grumpy Dog10 September 2014

2.5 star ratingI have stayed in this hotel many many times and this is the first time I am giving it a review which is not positive. Our room was fine (if not a bit dated) but the tv and hairdyrer did not work in my sisters room. We have always enjoyed the food in Tara Towers so I don't know what happened the regular chef last Saturday night but the food was terrible. It was so bad my husband sent his back (he had ordered the fish and it came out looking like it had been in and out of a deep fat fryer all night ) My food wasn't much better - I had ordered the chicken burger and chipos. The chips were also reheated, the bun was soggy but the chicken itself was just about eatable. My sister had ordered the beef stroganoff which was tasteless. We were rushing to a show in RTE studio's so could not re order. We did not pay for my husbands food but felt we should have had an apology from the chef and the whole bill waivered.
