4.5 star ratingExcellent location for this large hotel which has a lagoon in it's centre with a shallow sea with coral/rocks on both sides - one of which has easy access from the hotel , you can snorkel or walk for a few hundred yards and be only waist high in the warm water. It was busy but we had no problem with sun beds or queuing at bars (there are 5 around the beach areas). The staff are really friendly particularly Mohammed in the lobby bar (open 24hrs) Qenawey in the outside bar and Elsaxed in housekeeping and the towel guys all look after you. The resort is well cared for with plenty of people working long hours. No clouds here for the 21 days we stayed - the main beach can get a bit hot but there is a warm breeze on the sand by the open sea. The animation team are very talented and are all friendly especially 007 but they leave you alone if that's what you want. Max the hotel Camel was another of the good guys. We enjoyed our stay.It would have been nice to have a kettle/hairdryer in the room to save us taking our own. We had a few problems but they were put right without any fuss. For 2 weeks of our 3 week stay we were the only people from the U.K. - this hotel has mainly Russian guests who can be a bit pushy but the European guests were able to eat (if they wanted to) in the Italian Restaurant for 3 meals a day without any extra charge and as there were so few it was never full. Because of the time of year we expected few children but there were plenty. The road to the entrance has 30+ shops inside the hotel complex but there is not much on the main road outside so if you want to go out at night - it's a taxi - the hotel has one and there are plenty outside (about £3 return to Hurghada centre - don't forget to haggle). The food was o.k. and plenty of it - we were shocked by how much some people eat and others waste. Although the drinks were flowing freely we never saw any trouble so it's 'cheers'.IAIN15 July 2015
4.0 star ratingThe hotel was extremely beautiful with a big lagoon and separate pool. The rooms are basic but decent providing all facilities that you would need. We had a gorgeous view of the lagoon from our balcony which had a small table and chairs making it lovely to read outside in the evenings or early mornings. The room is only cleaned in a very basic way. The hotel has a lot of things that need to be fixed but nothing major and it is common in Egypt for this to be the case. I would definitely recommend getting a 'do not disturb' flag to put by your sun lounger in the day as the diving and spa staff do bother you at least twice an hour trying to get you to book something with them. The wifi is almost non existent as there are so many people trying to connect to it. Jessie13 January 2017
3.0 star ratingFacilities were good and including three water slides for the kids that were not mentioned in the amenities.Staff employees at the pool used vulgar terms with children and guests to give them instructions. Food was edible, with deserts not fresh. Room furnishings were dated but in reasonable shape. Staff didn't provide bottled water on day 2 and 3 of our stay until we complained. Hotel put hallway lights on timer that open late at night and we had to complain to get them to turn them on so we can see as we went to our room. Other guests took a couple of our towels at the beach which we had to reimburse the hotel for, but we complained and they didn't charge us. Food seemed recycled daily, especially the fish and deserts. Manager interupted our meal to ask if we were drinking soda that was put out at the refreshment area for guests (hotel policy apparently is that half board guests don't get soda during meals). If the soda is not for all guests, it shouldn't be put out for all to have, and interupting a meal with the family to ask about it should be considered rude.Anonymous 04 July 2017
