3.0 star ratingThere is a shopping center attached to the hotel with a number of restaurants and there are a number of Thai restaurants close by. WiFi internet is provided free of charge. Location is reasonable for access to the rest of the city. Plenty of secure parking if you have a car.The so called American breakfast was not up to standard and neither was the service of the cooks on hand. I waited at least 10 minutes to be served and I was second in the line. Thai people were favored first rather than who was in line first. I wasn't the only traveler finding this out. My stay was for a total of 15 night with breakfast. I only ate there for the first morning. I was so disappointed with the breakfast and service I found another cafe' restaurant to have my breakfast at. This is supposed to be the number one hotel in Ubon and for that reason I did expect more staff to be able to speak English. The room was nice and it was clean, but as for the rest of it, very ordinary! Mr Cranky13 January 2014
3.5 star ratingThis hotel is ok and have everything in the Sunnee Tower, what somebody need. It is closed to the airport and to one of the mainroad. The swimmingpool is not so big, but for swimming and relaxing engough. The staff is very friendly and also the room service is very fast. The prizes for Wifi is to expensive and it coast more than as a room rate per day, in this case man have to go to the lobby, but there is sometimes most in the evenning very noisy. Our problem was only the child, than I have had a voucher for 2 adults and 1 child in the deluxe room inkluded breakfast, but they don´t wont to accept it. Anonymous 15 July 2014
2.5 star ratingThe deluxe room had been renovated and was well appointedStaff attitude really spoils this hotel. Reception staff in particular are very surly and unhelpful. A cash only deposit of Bht500 was requested on check-in. Why no credit card acceptable? Only explained as hotel policy. On check-out,long delay with staff who refused even to answer questions in Thai. Coffee shop staff also had bad attitude. Proper staff selection,management and training is very necessary.Pod19 August 2014
3.5 star ratingI had a most enjoyable stay at the Sunee grand hotel, & would stay there again. I believe the best attribute of the hotel, is undoubtably the staff. They work very long hours, but remain cheerful & very helpful. The Sunee hotel is situated in a prime location of ubon.To be critical, I feel the hotel is a little dated, & a modern renervation is needed. Being only able to speak English a 24hr English speaking movie channel, or at least subtitles, in a selection of a multitude of languages. Real fruit juices & european type foods for breakfast. & proper order of service when dinning in the restaurant. Overall I would rate this hotel 2 1/2 stars.Anonymous 21 September 2014
