This town is home to Mount Olive Pickles and in late April guests to this hotel off Highway 117 can catch the North Carolina Pickle Festival, featuring live entertainment, an antique car show, carnival rides, petting zoo, games, food, vendors, vintage farm equipment display – and of course, lots of pickles to eat. The hotel also offers easy access to the Wayne County Fairground, where autumn visitors will want to see the Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair, with its rides, entertainment, vintage farm equipment exhibits, livestock shows and demolition derby. The Southern Wayne Country Club is just a 3 minute drive and the hotel also has a heated outdoor pool, exercise room, business centre and meeting space for up to 80.
