3.5 star ratingThe hotel offered an extensive selection for breakfast and was set in beautiful grounds. The rooms were clean and offered plenty of room.06 May 2013
3.5 star ratingQuick and straight forward check - in Pleasant and helpful stay. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Room was looking a bit warn and tired, could do with a freshen up. There was no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The toilets in the main hotel need updating, looking extremely tired and not in keeping with the rest of the hotels main facilities. We attended a wedding at the hotel and the food for the wedding breakfast was fantastic, however the buffet in the evening was very poor and no where near the same standard. This such as shame and could put guest just attending the evening off having a function at your hotel. At one point staff replenished cakes on offer, by bring out ASDA cakes from the back and tipping them into a bowl!!!!!! No presentation and I bet you charged more for them than they cost you to get them from Adsa!!!!!!10 May 2013

2.0 star ratingReception were polite but too business-like for me. I bit more warmth would be more pleasant - even if busy at the time. Otherwise, good in every - except could be nearer "civilisation"!!!Can't think of any!the older generation of discerning travellers.31 July 2013

4.0 star ratingBeautiful location but one will need a car to explore the surrounding area. Fantastic faciliities The restaurant staff were supremely polite and helpful. The staff are kept very busy and therefore we were kept waiting for our room, due to two weddings. The annexe is huge and we immediately had to ask for a room that was not too far away from the reception. The rooms were comfortable but small. There should be a notice stating that the tea and coffee is situated underneath the TV set in a sliding drawer. The dinner menu was vastly overpriced at £29.50 per person.01 August 2013
4.0 star ratingThe overall stay was very good, would definately return, staff very friendly, very clean, stayed on half board basis, evening meal very good and breakfast excellent. men played golf and enjoyed their game but a very hilly course. We had a very incompetent waiter serving us on saturday night, firstly our order was taken, we waited ages to be told that the order had gone missing so we ordered again, we asked for drinks, waited ages, asked for water twice, bread twice because of the wait, starter and mains arrived, was very good, asked if we wanted to see desert menu, never arrived, had to prompt him again, waited 20 mins for deserts, hardly anyone in the restaurant by this time, it eventually arrived, we had to keep asking other waitress's for service, which we did find very efficient, don't know what his name was but obviously this job is not for him or he needs some training, which is a shame if some training could help as he did seem enthusiastic but just wasn't with it on the night.22 October 2013
3.0 star ratingGreat pool and spa area (although booking treatments is near on impossible), lovely location, good breakfast.Rooms are small and basic. Expensive for what it is. Dinner was terrible. had the tuna and the chicken salad. The chicken was a little over-cooked, the tuna was like cardboard - I honestly don't think the chef had ever cooked tuna before...ever.Anonymous 14 July 2014
2.5 star ratingNoise during the night a big factor. We could hear people in adjoining rooms going to the bathroom (in intimate detail !), people walking along the corridor, other guests opening and closing doors. All through the night. There was a queue of 15 people in front of us at breakfast (very small dining area), so we ate elsewhere. Hotel is set in lovely grounds though.Joevi06 May 2015
4.0 star ratingGorgeous hotel in gorgeous surroundings, would definitely stay here again. Anonymous 28 July 2015
4.0 star ratingNice location. Lovely surroundingsOn arrival at hotel you have to use car park at rear of building. To get to the reception, guests then have a huge walk through the building using a set of very steep stairs. Then we were allocated a room back were we had started. Only after finding your way around hotel do you discover the lift etc. Perhaps at the point of booking the hotel could ask guests of any specific needs and perhaps have staff on hand to assist with luggage. Having said this we all still had a pleasant time Mrs kinney03 May 2017
