3.0 star ratingThe hotel is in a stunning location and the building itself is beautiful. The room was very spaciousand clean. The receptionist who booked us in was great but I must add no staff had name badges on.We arrived on the 23rd of August and all was fine. We got up the next morning early, as my husband had to go to work at the Naval Base and then we had to travel to Aberdeen after that so we needed a good hearty breakfast as we knew we would not have time to eat at lunch time. We arrived in the restaurant at 7.00am and got a drink each and sat down. We waited approx 5 mins for the waitress to come to us to ask would we like toast, We said yes and she said she would be back to take our order, why she did not just take it straight away puzzled us? There was only us and 3 other tables seated and whilst the waitress floated in and out taking orders off some business men whom she seemed to know, she then proceeded to shout as walking away from one particular man that was he sick, because he did not want anything to eat!!!! She continued to talk very loudly and when coming back in from the kitchen she exclaimed, "I'M LOVING THIS, I'M LOVING THIS MORNING!!" She then went to a table that had just come in and walked past us, by this time my husband was livid as we did not seem to matter to her, just the business men! When she finally came to us she just laughed and said she was sorry and asked if we were having anything to eat? My husband asked her what time it was and she said it was now 7.25 which was not good as my husband had to leave by 7.30am so we could not wait any longer for our cooked breakfast. We left the hotel and when we signed out we were not asked if everything was ok with our stay!! Now if the staff had had name tags I would be able to tell you who she was, but I can tell you she had long dark hair and speaks very loudly. So can please someone explain why it took 30 mins to ask what we would like to eat, why she found it appropiate to discuss the well being of other customers all over the conservatory, and to openly flirt whilst paying customers are waiting to be served. I expect some answers to these questions from the manager of this hotel within 3 business working days, many thanks Paula Howard 01683 300446 0758360388626 August 2011
