1.5 star ratingWe find it difficult to find a single positive aspect of this hotel. please, refer to the negative review here below.1. The hotel does not have windows, due to local regulations. fair enough, except that Customers are NOT INFORMED about it. It has been the most incredible nightmare to spend a few hours in this hotel room. A four Star Hotel CANNOT be managed in this unprofessional manner. 2. Rooms are unacceptably dirty, and in one out of three days of stay, they did not even make the room up. on another day, they "sort of cleaned" the room, but left the dirty bedsheets, towels, etc on the ground 3. the water off the tap was BROWN and we were disgusted to take a shower. we went to the public restroom of the airport on floor down, and found the water to be crystal clear. 4. we had breakfast for three mornings, and we could use one dish out of four, as they were so dirty that one would not dare to put food on them. 5. Except for one, personnel at the Reception/Front Desk could not speak English. and this is (supposed to be) an Airport Hotel Overall, for three nights, we spent a fortune: 975US$ !!! it was prepaid over the Internet, and when we complained they answered: "You can do what you want. You have already paid." So, for 975$ this is what we have got back. As soon we will find the time, we will write to the Brazilian Tourism Association to let them know what sort of Airport Hotel hosts tourists in Rio De Janeiro. We find it UNACCEPTABLE and unfair to the country, where we have had wonderful experiences in magnificent hotels, like the Las Cataratas in Iguasu, probably one of the best managed hotels I have experienced (and I travel over 60% of my time for business, since 30 years).
