5.0 star ratingGreat location if you are looking for peace and quiet! In the nature and away from the touristy places which are a convenient, quick drive if you want. Beautiful beach for snorkelling. Excellent accomodation!None. The Bundu Bashers14 December 2011
4.5 star ratingHotel location and facilities are excellent. Staff is cordial and professional.- Breakfast, is like a good 4 star hotel. It does not reach the expected quality. Few items and long ques all the time. - If you have kids, you cannot make use of the pool after noon. This is a non written rule. I would have expected that such info would be notified during booking or at least written somewhere in the hotel or on the website. Quite disappointing.Mark26 February 2013
4.5 star ratingWe have been upgraded to a beautiful spacious room with kitchenette (we did not use it but it was nice to see for the next time) spectacular view on the see we could not ask for a better accomodation very clean and confortable we had dinner at the buffet-restaurant and were happy with the food thank you we'll definetively come back againWe have been given time schedule for the bus to cirkewwa so we spent 1 hour at the hotel bar after check-out to wait for the scheduled bus but eventually we had to wait 1 hour more becouse the time schedule we were given were wrong (possibly summertime schedule?) we went back to the concierge to ask for the possibility of a shuttle to the ferry since we had a meeting in gozo with the taxi driver to go to ta' cenc but they said what they could do "is complaining with the company arriva because they showed wrong time schedule in the internet" and were not helpful at all that was not true, since we checked and the time schedule showed was according to winter time schedule so eventually we missed the bus, we missed the scheduled ferry, we arrived 2 hours later than what expected and spoiled the rest of the day and of course we had to pay extra to the taxi driver for his timeCAMALEONTEMALTESE31 March 2013

3.0 star ratingI've just returned from a 2 week Easter break at this hotel. While we had an enjoyable stay overall, there is one major reason why I have chosen to give this hotel such a poor score - not all guests are equal. The Radisson Blu is a large hotel, with extensive conference facilities. The hotel is currently hosting a corporate event for a veterinary pharmaceutical company, which is being attended by a hundred or so guests. While I have no problem with this, the hotel's management have been clearly favouring this Corporate client over and above their regular guests. Today, the hotel management decided to close the hotel's beach to regular guests, giving exclusive access to the Corporate client. This was done without any notification, signage or other notice given to regular guests. When my 5 year old son and I went down to the beach this morning, we were informed that we couldn't use the beach. We we instead told that we could sit to one side - adjacent to the bins, while we watched preparations being made to the hotel beach. These preparations included the beach being swept of the considerable amount of accumulated rubbish - something that was not done for the benefit of regular guests during our 2 week stay. People stay at the Raddisson Blu Golden Sands hotel for 2 reasons. 1) To make use of the hotel facilities. 2) to enjoy the beach, which is probably one of the best on the island. As a paying guest of the hotel, I expect to make full use of the hotel's facilities, including the beach. I do not expect to be treated as a second-class citizen and be shunted to the side alongside the bins. I was not the only one aggrieved by management's actions, as I heard the boss of the local Scuba Dive business complaining about the hotel taking custom away from his business. I made a complaint. A clearly embarrassed Operations Manager told me he agreed with my sentiment. Why then allow this to happen in the first place? Aside from the above, the Radisson Blu is not a bad hotel. It's an average to good hotel. As mentioned, the facilities are good and beach excellent. The location is a bit of the , though if that's what you are after - or you have a car, then the Radisson Blu is a good choice. I dont rate the hotel 5*, as it's nowhere near luxurious enough. It's a good 3* to 4* and nothing more. Service levels are generally good. Cleaning is so-so and a bit slapdash. Beds are ok, though bedding a bit cheap, including awful polyester pillows etc. Rooms are a bit dated, though the cooking facilities are very useful. Food at the breakfast buffet wasn't too bad, though the quality of some of the produce was poor, with some items (fruit bowl and salad items) being past their best.emia14 April 2013
5.0 star ratingThis is a Superb Hotel set in the most wonderful environment where one can relax and enjoy both the countryside and the sea! Sunset in this hotel are not to be missed . Food was excellent and the selection of sweets at the Buffet Dinner on Saturday night were simply exquisite. Well done and keep it up!!serenity10 December 2013

4.0 star ratingGreat rooms and view. Amazing private beach and a wide variety of water activities. Restaurants could improve quality. The beach could be cleaner. Anonymous 12 July 2016
4.5 star rating- big capacity - you never feel it's too busy. you can go by the pool or by the beach at any time during the day and you will find available sun lounges and umbrellas, which are free of charge - great breakfast. plenty of choice, pancakes are amazing, lovely staff - very comfortable hotel - directly on the beach, free wifi everywhere (good signal by the pool and on the beach), nice, functional rooms. We got a sea view suite which, although very big and nice, almost felt too big. a double room with sea view has probably the best value for money. There is a mini kitchen corner in every room. - free parking, quite busy, but w always found a spot to park - nice mini market by the pool, with beach essentials and food at correct prices - plenty of trees by the pool offering great shade - because we had a late flight and asked for late check-out, we got a complimentary room on our last day after check-out where we could take a shower and rest for 1.5hrs before leaving - a very nice touch- pillows are very high and uncomfortable - furniture is a bit dated, well maintained, but not modern - hotel location remote. We went out every night and you definitely need a car. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel, we didn't use it but heard it connected the hotel nicely with different parts of the island. On the bright side, distances are not long at all, approx 35-40 mins to cross the entire island from north to south by car - beach has plenty of algae, especially the part of the beach just in front of the hotel. Could be cleaned by hotel, not sure why they don't - food is quite bad - fast food style, we ate by the pool and at Agliolio restaurant, disappointing, definitely not 5* quality (breakfast is nice) - pool quite cold, could be warmed up to make it more enjoyable. Otherwise, very weather dependable: if there was no wind and very hot outside, the pool temperature was fantasticAnonymous 19 July 2016
