This historical hotel is located in the medieval town of Puebla de Sanabria, on a street that extends to the Plaza Mayor, where the 12th century parish church and the Elizabethan-style town hall building can be found. At the end of the street is a rectangular castle ordered to be built in the 15th century by the Counts of Benavente to serve as a border defence. Sanabria bus and train stations are both approximately 3 km from the hotel and the coast in Vigo is around 240 km away.Built in 1736, the building was restored using original materials. The interior has maintained its original sobriety, with little decoration. Cupboards, old cabinets and sky lights in the stairwells are the only elements that have been preserved in this building. Today it is a hotel with a great deal of charm, characterised by the mixture of styles and decorative elements combining rustic furniture with minimalist design.
