4.5 star ratingThe hotel is set away from night life with one side farming fields and view of it's sister hotel and the other side having another hotel being built. The building work had stopped for the holiday season, no noise and the front view was of pine forest, sea and mountains, rear view of the river and mountains. Initially reception staff were friendly, mainly catering for German and Russian so some struggled with English. Reception staff changed to not friendly after my wife and myself getting E. coli bacteria from the food during the last days, but the doctor service was quick. The food was fantastic but coming to the end of our stay noticed the choice got smaller and more food was re-used from breakfast to lunch to dinner, very unfortunate from such a great start. A la carte restaurants were ok, felt like it was something new for them to be doing. Drinks were fine especially from the Wunder Bar just don't be expected quality wines/drinks but all acceptable. Leaving small tips for the waiters/waitresses & room service gave such happiness, the service without tips was fantastic. Everywhere was clean, floors polished constantly, toilets spotless, outdoor pools clean but then again it is a new hotel. Air conditioning in the main hotel was only in the evenings and during meal times and in the rooms after approximately 1 a.m. it automatically stopped, which due to the temperature made sleeping impossible having to keep getting up to turn it on only to have it go off again a short time afterwards, until about 0600 when it was on whilst you were in your room. River access had just started allowing access onto boats at set times to take you up to Manavgat and back along the river. A purpose built path with lighting lead from the front of the hotel towards the beach all of a 5 minute stroll. On the beach was plenty of bed space, restaurant with kebabs cooked each day, salads and a lovely lady making traditional breads. Jacket potatoes were served later on in the afternoon followed by cakes and biscuits with as much melon as you could wish to eat. The beach was mainly sandy where the beds were and volley ball court, at the waters edge became as small pebbles. In the water a recent earthquake has lifted rocks and although smooth do have some big craters, one poor girl was knocked by the small waves hitting her head but rescued by the ever present life guard when he is not sorting sun beds out. To the left side of the bathing area are less rocks so getting in and out of the sea is much easier although there is a shelf so you are quickly out of your depth if you are not use to swimming. There is a shuttle bus that runs to the beach but for the nice short walk through the pine trees its hardly worth it for this hotel. Side was for tourists if you like fake bags, clothing, watches etc and Manavgat having a local market on Thursdays and Mondays making it more interesting, although they both have a heavier heat making a visit for us very short. We unfortunately got caught up in a protest one evening getting told by locals to go home out the way. Buses are constantly running outside the hotel, driving habits are terrible, can be more of a white knuckle ride. Generally we had a great stay, lovely hotel and staff, very relaxing just dampened by getting a bacteria from the food and the reception staffs attitude at that time. Money we discovered not to need Turkish Lira as Euros were more accepted and priced for everywhere. Room Tip: Best views from rooms at the front of hotel, towards the back is nice but it overlooks amphitheatre. Restaurant has plenty of flies and cats that share your eating space. Bad mosquitoes in the evening, have to use a Insect Repellent. Air conditioner automatically stopped during the night. E-coli.Anna&Jason14 September 2015
