 Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea about what the hotel was like. Since my reservation - that I had paid and received a confirmation for, did not exist. I found this out by accident when I contacted the hotel to hear about pick-up service. After having provided them with my reservation number, hotelbeds.com got back to me with a bullshit story about a fire at the hotel, so unfortunately they had to relocate us to a condo in Tamarindo. The hotel had had a small fire, but that was not the reason our reservation did not exist. I can make this a very long story, but the condo we were given was not at all in comparison with the hotel we had booked. In fact I had deliberately not chosen Tamarindo since we wanted a quiet family place - which Tamarindo is pretty far from. The condo had one sewer flood during our stay there, and the walks to the beach were long for the kids. We had to spend hours trying to relocate and after six days we managed to get a hotel that suited us better. No help whatsoever from hotelbeds. I have demanded we get a refund since we did not get to stay at the place we had already paid for, but I haven't even had a reply from Hotelbeds/Hotelopia (after more than one week). The guy at Playa Grande Park hotel that informed us about our missing reservation was very friendly and helpful though!Åsa Mattsson05 January 2015
