Hotel Information

This outstanding hotel features a unique blend of rich colonial design with the glory of Pharaonic times in Luxor, a city in Upper Egypt nicknamed as ‘the world's greatest open air museum'. This 19th-century palace, built in 1886 by British explorers, boasts a prime location on the eastern bank of the Nile, close to Luxor Temple and the city centre. A wide choice of tastefully decorated hotel rooms is available for guests' convenience, offering fine woods, satin fabrics, as well as spacious marble bathrooms featuring a choice of premium toiletries. They all come complete with magnificent views over the world-renowned Nile River, the Valley of Kings or the botanical gardens. Those most demanding guests may indulge in the exclusive suites and villas, with unique amenities. The French restaurant features a cosy atmosphere while the bar is ideal for a ‘tête-à-tête' and afternoon tea.

3.0 star ratingVery grand appearance. Love the quaint lift Nice poolWireless poor, rooms dated, no layout for breakfast, have to ask they go to kitchen and get, shower temp uncontrollable , Nile side nosy with prayer bell at 3 in morningAnonymous 04 August 2014
4.5 star ratingCleaning staff are good. senior managers are good but they need to get the staff to perform their every day duties properly. Beautiful gardens Nice sized roomsPool staff are really poor. They do as little as possible. Considering that most people spend a long time in this area, it should be much better. They are so lazy, they don't greet people as they are too busy playing on their iPad or similar, they give people their own towels to put on the sunbeds. Only people that they do much for are the people who 'tip' well!! Bar staff at the pool bar are also poor. One,Mahmood, is exceptional but the rest, again,do as little as possible. Food can hardly be called ok, it is bordering on poor. Chips are undercooked, spag Bol is all spag and very little Bol! Bar staff appear to resent you interrupting them. Cleaning around the pool is poor, we had sweet papers and straws around where we sat for 4 days. Nobody cleared them up! It is not cheap to eat or drink here and standards should be improved!! I imagine that the people who think these standards are acceptable are the ones who have never been anywhere. Anonymous 17 June 2015
