4.5 star ratingExcellent location in Jeju city 10 mins from the airport and 3 minutes' walk to Dongmun market and Jungman Undergroung Shopping! Staying here allowed us to conveniently and safely explore these places where the locals eat and shop after our full day tour. Also so easy to catch a taxi back to the airport from the main road just steps away from the hotel which the staff will help you with any time of Hbf day. Perfect location in Jeju-si! Hotel owner cum hands-on manager June Park is also very warm, welcoming and helpful and she speaks English perfectly together with her reception staff so asking for directions and recommendations is a breeze. Felt more like a comfortable cosy inn! Enjoyed our stay at Orange Tree and recommend this to anyone seeking value for money accommodations in Jeju city walkable to food, market and shopping.Christine15 October 2014
3.0 star ratingThe Staff were eager to help and answer your queries. In particular Ben who speaks english and mandarin as well as well as Michelle. Both are very good. Its a boutique no frills type of hotel. Make sure you leave your room key to the reception when you go out touring. Without the key, there wont be any housekeeping to your room. Room is basic without safety box. And no kettle for you to boil hot water. on the final day we asked for hot water which they are more than happy to provide a flask. Instead we asked whether ok to bring down the instant noodle and por the hot water and dine at the far corner near the front door to the cafe. The staff were ok until the lady owner overruled and insisted we dont eat there. As an owner of the small hotel, she should allows that once since staff already agreed which I had pointed out to her. Instead she insisted that the instant noodle will have " smell". I wanted to tell her off that in the 1st place she should provide kettle in the room and that resolve all the problem!!. leithw04 November 2014

3.5 star ratingGood location as opposite is the HUGE Dongmun Fishmarket as well as a HUGE underground shopping mall. Take note of the entrance so you don't end up in some other exit far away from the hotel as the 2 places are absolutely HUGE! The staff are friendly with good command of English & Mandarin. Overall good value. Room is basic almost like entering a cell. The room temperature was very hot and I was unable to adjust it. Luckily I had a window in the room so I left it open to make it more comfortable. I was not aware that the room does not get serviced during the stay. Previous comments from others is true that there's no shower curtain dividing the shower and the rest of the bathroom hence after a shower, the bathroom could be wet for the next person. There's definitely space to install a shower rail/curtain and storage shelves in the bathroom which would add to the comfort of the guests. There's a jug in the room to boil water but no coffee or tea sachets nor cups. The front desk had maps of the whole of Jeju island but did not have a map of the area (for me to explore locally) so you have to supply your own. There's also no safe deposit box in the room but I guess if the room does not get serviced, then no one is supposed to enter the room during the day. The above are NOT meant to be negative comments. They are just facts that are useful to know before you book so you know exactly what to expect. Overall, I would say it's basic and at a good price point. AvidTraveller12 April 2015
