1.5 star ratingThe Omini Westside Houston was by far one of the worst hotels I have ever visited. When I checked in, "Mary" failed to tell me that I was being put into a smoking room, even though I am a non-smoker. When I called the front desk to inform them that I have allergies to smoke, Mary's response was "your booking doesn't guarantee that you will be placed in a non-smoking room'. A friend of mine that checked in after me was told that the hotel had be overbooked and the only rooms available were the smoking rooms. In addition to being placed in a smoking room for 4 days, the hotel room furnishings are outdated, from the small flat screen tv, to the night stand and lamps and that pitiful excuse of a bathroom. The one good thing I can say about the hotel room is that the bed was at least halfway decent. Everything else about the hotel is a complete waste. This place certainly does not live up to the high expectations one would expect from the Omini Hotel brand , please do not waste your time with the Omini Westside - Houston! Josh01 November 2011
