Located on the Upper West Side, this hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Central Park and away from the turbulence of Mid-town, but yet still an easy commute away. Even if one doesn't particularly enjoy museums, the nearby American Museum of Natural History is more than worth the 5 minute walk. Spread over 27 interconnected buildings and housing 45 permanent exhibition halls, there are so many fascinating things do to and see that one visit won't be enough. If some entertainment is needed the Lincoln centre of performing arts is just a 15-minute walk away and the surrounding area offers fantastic shopping facilities and a myriad of dining choices. The recently refurbished boutique hotel welcomes its guests to 250 rooms spread over 16 floors. On its last floor there is a green patio retreat, where one can relax while enjoying stunning views of the city.

4.5 star ratingReally enjoyed the atmosphere: the flowers,the scented candles,the decoration of the room,etc ... The best part was the bedlinens!!!Didn't like the view from the 2 windows :2 brickwalls. Room was VERY dark 12 October 2010
5.0 star ratingThe hotel is located in a pleasant neighbourhood of NYC, not only 2 blocks from the 79th street subway (line 1) station making everything easily accessible. Although there is renovation work being undertaken on the lobby and bar, the temporary check in desk was sufficient and it meant that Wi-Fi was free during our stay (usually a charge). The rooms are industrial but extremely clean and spacious. We had a room on the 2nd floor which was good. We had a view of the street but it was not noisy. We also ate in the restaurant one of the nights and enjoyed the food. This hotel is great value for money and lives up to its 4 star status. The open area on the 16th floor is a must at night.Chelkevcov02 September 2013
