The comfortable Mission Valley Resort is conveniently situated on almost 9 hectares of tropical landscape. Features of the hotel include a pool area surrounded by palm trees and meeting facilities. Attractions such as the Riverwalk Golf Club, several shopping centres, SeaWorld and the old town of San Diego with its rich Spanish, Mexican and American history can be reached within a few minutes' drive. Downtown San Diego and the international airport are only a 10 minutes' drive away.

2.0 star ratingClose to everything. Did not charge a resort fee.I reserved a room on February 2011 for our stay in September 2011. A Vietnam Vets event occurred at the resort. We (civilians) were placed in an area where all the veterans with their motorcycles were staying as well so we would hear motorcycles at ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT from Thursday-Sunday. The room we stayed in had very , very thin walls and woke up several times during the night/early morning due to neighbors tv, being on the phone at 5am in the morning and slamming doors! When Sunday evening came along, we thought we can finally sleep in a little before we check out the next day. Wrong! At 5 am we hear someone outside going through the dumpsters for about an hour. The bathroom vanity light area was rusty. What upset us the most is they advertise both on their website (currently) and advertisement at the front desk that the resort (currently) had free shuttle to and from Old Town but was untrue! We had restless sleep and rest throughout our stay at the resort. Even when we tried to catch up on some rest during the day, we would be disturbed by our neighbors due to thin walls or the loud motorcycles at our front door.Disappointed M24 September 2011

4.0 star ratingIt was cheap and had a very pretty exterior, and the rooms were kept clean. There is a restaurant in the hotel complex which is handy and the food is not bad, not great, but not bad either. It is about 20-30 minutes away from the ocean on the highway and about 35-45 mins away from lego-land (the purpose of my trip) via hwy. The staff is friendly and helpful and I would recommend this spot to others.The rooms were slightly beat up ( the back to the wardrobe was completely disconnected at the bottom and would flap open whenever you opened the door). The tubs and sinks did not drain easily and there was not much water pressure. The tv only has a few channels though so plan accordingly by bringing something to watch dvds on.. and some dvds.. and there was no fridge in our room.19 March 2013
4.5 star ratingThis is a lovely hotel with a great feel to it...if I'm honest, we wanted to stay for longer. The staff were great from check in to check out. The pool on an evening had a lovely ambience. There was a shop, bar and diner on the grounds which were reasonably priced (we never used the bar, so I can't comment on price for that). I'd recommend this for all.The hotel does look a little tired in places, but it didn't bother us as we paid a really good price for the hotel. Our toilet blocked up whilst we used the shower, housekeeping turned up within 15 minutes and cleared the toilet...but it was still blocked. The phone didn't work, but we didn't care. The room wasn't cleaned in the smaller areas like behind the bed, but it was only my wife who was looking, it didn't bother the rest of us. Please don't be put off by the negative part, instead, please read the positive part and stay here!!!Michael24 November 2014
1.5 star ratingStaff was nice with us.Very dirty, around other people's hair. we took a room for 4 people, but was given a very small room. Only 2 towels. I think this room is for two people, with one extra bed.My husband was bitten by bed bugs! We were here one night, but the reservation was for 3 nights! we just ran from this motel!!!DM 29 August 2016
