1.0 star ratingThis Hotel was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in, from the first moment i got there the girl on reception was very unhelpful, lacked enthusiasm and couldnt even tell me if there was room service. the first room i was put in had damp patched on the ceiling, wallpaper hanging of the walls and a bed that was so old that the mattress had sunk in the middle,i got moved to another room upstairs that was a little better but not much. i will never stay or recommend this Hotel to anyone and certainly does not merit its 3 star rating it advertises.06 September 2010
1.0 star ratingHotel is well past its sell by date. Decor very dated and not clean, paintwork onthe walls dirty. Worst of all the room which I found out was above the swimming pool and sauna was so hot it was unbearable. We complained, was told no other room was available, so insisted on them finding space in another hotel. Service was poor, help very poor - all in all given we are now in 2010 - the worse hotel I have seen in 20 years.02 October 2010
1.5 star ratingshabby hotel..black sticky tape used on joins in carpet throughout. Dirty bedroom..wall paper lifting off..filthy inside the windows with black mould.. almost no bathroom accessories..ie bath gell. Gym has poor ventilation, stinks of body sweat. Breakfast, limited choice, no fresh fruit. Bar closed at 10.30pm, shutters pulled down, no one to serve.29 October 2010
3.0 star ratingWalking distance to the centre. Bed was very comfy. The hotel never had our booking when we arrived and had no more double rooms but were able to find a room for us. We found it very difficult to find the hotel as none of the postcodes were recognised or took you to it. I would get directions from the hotel before travelling. The hotel is in a run down state, in desperate need of a refurbishment. Not worth the £49 we paid for it, can easily stay somewhere much nicer for the same price.22 March 2011
2.0 star ratingNothing really positive to say about it. it looks like it has not been re-decorated since the 1970s. The carpets in the public areas were worn away and covered by masking tape. Paint was peeling off the walls in places. Staff were friendly enough but not really very professional in their attitude. The shower produced no more than a trickle of water. Staff ignored a fire alarm during breakfast. The pool was ok, mainly because there was no-one else in there. But steam room was out of order. Breakfast - there was little choice, the coffee tasted like instant, the juice was watered down, the bacon was limp and tasteless. And the hotel wasnt that cheap. Very poor, avoid the place.Anonymous05 July 2011

2.5 star ratingGood Recreation Facilities - Pool Worn out carpets through-out Rooms need upgrading Customer requests ignored by hotel completely - leading to a family with young children being split over 2 rooms at opposite ends of the hotel and on 2 different floors! ***Go to Premier Inn down the road***Disappointed03 September 2012
3.0 star ratingYou can tell that it used to be in a poor condition and something is being done about it. It was a nice stay, a lot nicer than what the reviews on tripadvisor were suggesting. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast, which we got as part of our deal so I wont complain too much, but it was poor. The occasional piece of furniture or equipment was damage or worn. The building itself is rather out of date in terms of style and I can appreciate that there is little that can be done about that without a large investment.Horowitz Žižek06 December 2012
3.5 star ratingGood facilities and gym/poolThe room shower lacks water in the mornings, the pressure seems to drop when everyone get up and takes a shower. TJH14 July 2013
