4.5 star rating	I used to contract hotel space with Friendly hotels and for many years did quality control with many of the UK's leading travel companys so knew the style of hotel I would be visiting. The location is unbeatable and the hotel was kept very warm despite the icy (and slippery) conditions outside. The room itself was very clean (no dust on top of fixtures and fittings) although somewhat tired in appearence - drill holes where curtain, tv etc updates had taken place. That said, Focus hotels are systematically upgrading all rooms at the hotel. The staff were extremely kind and friendly and apart from the lack of black pudding breakfast was great:) Nothing was too much for this hotel and they obliged wherever possible.
