3.5 star ratingConcierge service excellent Breakfast excellent Room standard good, huge bed and plenty of space in room Location of room ridiculous - had to navigate a labyrinth of corridors to find it, induding 2 extra stairwells a substantial distance from the nearest lift or main stairs.Hotel policy to charge £25 for overnight parking is quite amazing26 August 2008
4.5 star ratingA very pleasant stay. It was a delight to be able to check-in so earlyNo REAL ALE in the Morse Bar03 November 2008
5.0 star ratingThe stay at the hotel from the door being opened ,the check-in staff, the cleaners, the wait-on staff was excellent-cannot praise the hotel enough & will definitely return!25 November 2008
3.0 star ratingFood quality at breakfast was excellent and staff were really friendly. The bed was broken so that our feet where much higher than our heads. We reported this to the hotel and two employees tried to resolve the issue by putting blankets under the matress. We appreciated their efforts but this is not what you expect at this price and for a 5-star hotel. We were moved at 11pm to the presidential suite. The curtains of our original room had very obvious stains of something like chocolate or blood and the cleanliness was not one of the strong qualities. The room was generally not good for what we expected for the amount we paid. We went to this hotel as we were planning to use the spa. It consisted of a tiny jacuzzi and a steam room and a couple of showers with coloured ligths. There is no swimming pool and you are asked to pay £15 per person to use the facilities. Parking for the car was at £25 per night. It has to be said that breakfast quality was excellent though and the staff were really friendly. Novelon28 August 2009
5.0 star ratingexcellent service from staff food slightly disappointing, drinks in the bar very expensive, jack daniels and coke £9.0023 November 2009
5.0 star ratingOne of the best hotels I've stayed in in the UK. Staff were friendly, professional and attentive in every area of the hotel we used. The hotel was well staffed so the long check in queue at reception took no time at all to clear. Similarly, we arrived when the bar was full to bursting with tourists trying to escape the rain, but a table was cleared for us and we were served our coffees within minutes. The bedroom was excellent - very clean, well laid out and the comfiest bed I've ever slept in - and The Spa was a truly relaxing and pleasant experience. It was a little pricey at £15 per person just to use the 'Thermal Suite' but well worth it all the same. Highly recommended. None at all!........24 November 2009
4.5 star ratingThe staff were absolutely on the ball, very friendly, didnt have to open a door once. The atmosphere was excellent, helped along with the fact there was a wedding on the weekend we went in January, loved the Morse bar. Very comfortable experience. I didn't book parking ahead, but that didn't matter. We were given a permit to park in the local carpark which was 2 mins away and didn't cost us anything. I would however suggest shopping around for a good deal, I managed to find a half price room!!PK08 February 2011

4.5 star ratingIt's in a great location - right in the middle of Oxford so you don't need a car! The hotel do valet parking and this has to be/should be booked before you arrive. It's a very stylish hotel and nicely decorated. The staff we friendly and helpful.None15 February 2012
4.0 star ratingStaff very helpful and professional Comfortable bed and crisp linen but could not sleep - see below. Fantastic location - its redeeming feature. Value good due to last minute booking on independent website but see belowRoom and especially bathroom rather shabby. Cracked tiles and poor finishes. Worn carpet. No slippers. Hardly any milk. Definitely not 5* which should be standard throughout hotel regardless of room rate. Appalling view over hotel extraction systems so noisy all night and too hot (in January! ) in spite of turning off radiators but obviously could not open a window. Public areas upstairs very gloomy and tired looking.31 January 2012
