Hotel Information

The hotel is situated 2 hours' drive north east of Port Elizabeth on the edge of the Little Karoo. It forms part of the Addo Elephant National Park concession. The air-conditioned hotel features 24 luxury chalets, a lobby, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and children's playground. Food and drinks are provided in the bar and restaurant. Conference facilities, Internet access, room and laundry services and a car park are also available. Each of chalets comes with a private lounge and deck area with spectacular views. All rooms have a TV, a phone, tea making facilities, a bathroom and enclosed WC. Guests may use the saltwater swimming pool, children's swimming area and spa treatments. Bushman Sands Golf is about a 60-minute drive from the hotel. The restaurant offers a four-course set menu. Breakfast and dinner are included.

4.5 star ratingPosition on the hill is excellent for views and the chalets are beautiful and thoughtfully set out to give privacy. The standard of the lodges are excellent. The roominess is excellent and so too is the quality of furniture and bedding. Well thought out design to incorporate excellent bathroom facilities, bath and shower. Linen and towels changed as often as required and rooms made up beautifully twice a day.Quite a trek over a dirt road to get to the gate house from a main road. We were glad that we had obtained clear directions from a source other than the standard site information. Some of the guides were better than others. We thought that some management of the safari trips would benefit customers so that they knew in advance the expected animals to be seen on each trip to avoid duplication and holding back more seasoned travellers. The caves were listed as starting at 9.30 a.m. but actually commenced 7a.m.Hooky21 September 2013
