3.5 star ratingGood location, about 20 minutes from many touristy sites in San Diego. Our kids enjoyed the pool. We ate at Humphrey's for lunch. Though the service was extremely slow (and it wasn't even busy), the food was great. The walls of the room are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors talk and when their TV was on. The beds were kind of lumpy. We also heard trash trucks early one morning, around 7 am, and other cars leaving the hotel parking lot. Basically, wear earplugs if you're sensitive to sound. We were required to pay a passport fee of $10 every day we stayed at the hotel, which we did not know about when we booked. The passport included a coupon book, internet access (which is usually free at hotels nowadays), a free 2 hour bike rental and some other things. It wasn't worth $10 a day. We ended up eating at Humphrey's one time because of the coupon book in hopes of recouping some of the cost. 24 August 2013
