This charming city-hotel is next to the border with the Principality of Monaco, at a less than a 10-minute walk from the Casino of Monte Carlo and some 100 metres from Monaco train station and overlooking Port Hercule. The location of this recently renovated and air-conditioned establishment is perfect for those who want to both relax and explore the magnificent strip. There are a number of world-class restaurants and premium shopping venues within minutes it, while some of its most famous sights are just a short stroll away. There is even something for the fans of the fairway with the nearest golf course just a 20-minute drive away. After an exciting day the onsite restaurant can offer an outstanding Italian cuisine, which is best enjoyed on the panoramic terrace overlooking Monte Carlo.

4.0 star ratingA pleasant, small, 'no frills' hotel if you want a cheap base to visit to Monaco. Uphill from Monaco but still only 10-15 minutes walk from the Casino area, and also has the number 2 bus route stop about 3 minutes walk from the hotel, and easy access to the station 5 minutes walk away. Great views from the roof terrace. Room was basic but very clean.This is a hotel with huge untapped potential. So much more could be made of the roof terrace, and if the staff interacted more with the guests and offered help without having to be asked (for example we weren't asked if we wanted a map, needed any help finding places etc and when we walked in to the restaurant for breakfast we weren't welcomed or shown to a table or shown where things were) this could be a fabulous hotel rather than just an average one.mollybarn09 October 2012
