4.0 star ratingHoliday Inn is not a luxury chain and as long as you understand that then this review will make sense. The hotel is 3* UK standard and whilst the rooms are a little tired they are perfectly suitable if you are planning to use the hotel as a base to explore Tampa. The aircon was old 'by the window' type & slightly noisy but not enough to prevent a decent sleep. The hotel has a small swimming pool which we did not use . A small complimentary breakfast is offered which has cereal , fruit, juices, pancakes (from a machine) and pastries . In addition there were some cooked offerings which we did not find appealing. The front desk staff were helpful polite and friendly. The manager was notable in that he seemed very happy to engage with hotel guests and was friendly and open to honest feedback. Parking was free and easy. A TGIs is nearby which offered a discount for hotel guests. There is a big cinema across the busy road . We weren't tempted as it had poor reviews. The hotel is not located centrally but is convenient at about 15 mins drive to Busch Gardens. The hotel is ok, the rooms are ok, the food is ok, the staff are very good and the manager clearly takes pride in his job , and if you can get a room for a good price then it's worth it. 4.5 star ratingExcellent customer service from the reception staff - particularly Judy - so helpful with all my queries. Great location and very impressed with breakfast which was constantly topped up. Even offer a carry out bag which was a great touch. Thank you for a lovely stay.No problems with anything but a suggestion that if and when the chairs by the pool are replaced - please find ones that don't burn you. The metal frames got so hot in the sun you got burnt if you touched the arms.Sandie04 June 2016
