3.5 star ratingThe rooms were very clean and spacious and the staff very friendly. Local food was available as a choice in the main restaurant (buffet) which was nice to see.We were often left without face flannels, towels and bath mats and had to call down 3 times (waiting 20 minutes) for a delivery one morning, the same was said with the group that we travelled with. Food was average but they had a wide selection. Local beer, Red Stripe, was not available in the mini bar and the rum in most of the drinks hut around the pool area etc were not local to Jamaica! Disappointed with the food at The Garden Grill where we were expecting waiter service from beginning to end but first and last course was buffet style, we should have gone to the main Restaurant!! We were constantly approached, albeit nicely but it became irritating, by ladies trying to get us to go and visit the rooms at Luxury Bahia. And the free 1 hour Wi-Fi was a joke. For the week that I was there I never got onto it, after completing all the info required; 5 people out of a group of 17 managed to get it, so it was very difficult to keep in touch with people at home, and I didn't want to pay for it. Funny how you can get free Wi-Fi at the petrol station, small hotels but not at the Grand Bahia Principe. Definitely not value for money!Miss P03 May 2016
