4.0 star ratingNice Pool, warm water, pleasant rooms, good service in the restaurant and rooms. In particular one evening we had great support from Edith on the front desk - Thank you. Ask Edith to teach your youngsters on reception some customer service tips! Reception Staff on arrival were unwelcoming and unhelpful. All were too young to appreciate travelling with a family long distance. Sat around in reception for an hour waiting for a room with no apology. Was made to feel like it was my fault for arriving before 4pm and it was my fault the hotel was full and we had to wait for a room to be cleaned. Eventually put in a bad room with a view of every other rooms balconies (which we didn't have). The TV was broken and we were tired - just driven from Orlando. My wife complained to the front desk, got little satisfaction (repeated that the hotel was full) and finally handed over to the Manager. Eventually we were moved and offered two different rooms in your FULL HOTEL! We finally settled in a standard room that, at least, had a balcony. After the first day things improved, but having come from the Ritz in Naples,and the Buena Vista Palace in Orlando, I was expecting a similar quality service and room from your flagship hotel. Please sort the front desk young staff. They really need to learn how to smile, welcome guests and apologise when inconveniencing paying guests. Much better service and room in the Sheraton next door when we stayed there last year. 18 April 2012
